  1. Paulus interested to see how you go on and please try it on a couple of coppers.......... maybe with a couple of before and after pictures. Dont see any problem at all using acetone if just a quick dip or gently used with a cotton bud.
  2. Think i need to get a larger computer screen Dave
  3. Not sure on the obverse but its not a halfpenny date.
  4. Yes i especially like that 1878
  5. Both 6+G, a bead width surely cannot be offered As another variety and become finest known, thats just crazy or money making Crazy...yes possibly but that depends on the individual who is buying it. Money making i dont think so and neither attracts a premium on the CGS chart. The thing is in fairness if a coin is referenced thats what they will slab it as , although a few have gone unnoticed.
  6. Two different varieties Dave ?.
  7. Without people posting the site would be boring and i would not be looking all the time Happy to send them and keep looking and learning Be lucky will post Monday.
  8. He's that type of guy, Pete. Responded to me within a few hours over a query I had about my F69, a year or so back. Top bloke. Yes i dont like to ask if i have not bought the coin from him but had a reply straight away in the past. If your reading Michael sorry if your now inundated with questions
  9. Matt just noticed your getting carried away with the varieties and updating your site Will post you thirteen different varieties of the 1907. Keep smiling and Happy Christmas from me......... people like you keep the site alive.
  10. Nice for him to reply so quickly and give you an answer Matt.
  11. Peel back for chocolate!!! I would sooner have a chocholate one before that rang tang
  12. Its not an open 3 Matt but good luck if its a 2

  14. Sorry everyone posting at the same time
  15. Delete your adress richard.
  16. In fairness to the seller it is scarce and i have never seen one in that good a grade. Although yes optimistic is the right word
  17. Yes i think gary has the best idea ,doing them in tens or twentys as alfnail did on another post.
  18. Hope you enjoyed the party . I had one with my grandma last week who i see most days. She lives with my mum and was 102
  19. Good will and health for everyone all year round for me Bob. Hope you had a really good birthday . Take care and have a fantastic christmas and as i always say and mean keep smiling. Only my opinion on the above post and would never share the seller on an open forum. Pete.
  20. Thinking again some people with considerable knowledge are not honest ,infact more than some. So i am know looking the other way and I think thats worse as they are just trying to deceive Some blatant miss descriptions and hyped up crap over the last week or so. Rant over. Pete.
  21. Thanks just.me Thought i remembered something .
  22. Probably wrong again However i was pretty sure Gary had posted pictures of different ones he had. Maybe he can let us provide the answer ...............
  23. Whenever these 1882 no H's come up, there always seems to be some tell tale mark under the date. Thats why i prefer to leave them alone.
  24. No Matt ...........Gary has numerous different pictures that were shown ages ago on another post 1897 penny. Unless i am wrong as i normally am
