  1. Cant say i am over the moon and have over two hundred. They are still the same coin in a piece of plastic and just got to keep smiling. Pete.
  2. Just found out if you pay the subsciption you get a free package posted. You get a certificate, sticker and a signed photo of semra
  3. All good fun Either pay or dont , cant see it effecting many people apart from the people who maybe just use the site as a reference. I suppose its not much different than increasing the slabbing fee ,although that might be next As far as buying / selling them can understand that being the main negative Pete.
  4. Total carnage
  5. The mail they have just sent me is a bit tricky
  6. If someone calls you tomorrow You have more chance of being hit by lightening .
  7. New site back up Although just for submissions i think as not sure what else you can use it for
  8. They had done upto about 39505 on saturday as i and another forum member had received some back. Although inbetween that number and yours i have some more and also been waiting awhile although the invoice date was May. Hope you dont mind i was also a bit nosey and had a look at your coin Start using the forum marston and hope you get them back soon and happy with the result. Pete.
  9. What was one of the UIN marston
  10. I dont have a clue about them but your point i would never of thought of so they could be counterfeit of the same time ?. If so i suppose someone would still buy one rather than a modern copy. That makes a lot of sense
  11. Hat off Ian and a really good job. Hope if you get a few quid and they are right craig ........Buy Ian A pint
  12. Its a tricky one . For all the help i am most gratefull and the forum members know who you are. Thanks for the replies 1887 jubilee, stuntman , Dave and Peter. I am not in any rush and will be giving it some thought as my initial plan was just to look at key dates of any denomination but then feel my grading knowledge of other coins (zero ) would take me back were i started . The more obvious one is halfpennies........but not sure. Peter there are still alot missing as you could go on forever with varieties and minor date widths some of which i am not bothered about, but i do have most of the copper 1797-60 I found looking at the Bramah numbers fascinating also and have spent about eighteen months on them. Think the problem is i am always wanting to buy something coin wise Pete.
  13. Could be worth 1K. Welcome to the forum Nanwem, although as far as the holiday goes it might buy you half a lager when you get there ,depending were your going.
  14. I started Jerry as it coincided with my grand daughter being born and just thought i would buy a few to put away until she was 18/21and give me a bit of an interest. Definately not an investment although not totally mad to not hope for the return to be ok for her. Moving on anything i am buying now apart from possibly the odd one will just be for myself. Thank you for the above replies Pete.
  15. Wide open question Three to four years ago i decided to buy a few pennies to put away for eighteen years or so. I didnt have a clue and learned quite alot since and continue to do so. The problem is buying a few got a bit out of hand and now struggling to find anything really as some varieties etc i am missing are unlikely to turn up often. Anyway its given me an interest, meeting new people, forum, speaking to auctioneers, dealers who have helped me so much. Would you turn to another denomination, key dates, patterns, proofs and the list goes on or just be happy to keep looking for the odd one to purchase. Pete.
  16. So sad... i was in Paris last october and a terrible experience
  17. Got the reults of one batch i sent through today so feel anyone waiting a couple months they should be with you soon. I least i suppose they are all being done and will get them straight ,should they be making any changes.
  18. Dont really see how its funny to watch......seems cruel to me . I dont really have an effection with animals so dont have any, apart from a few daft frogs in a tank we have had for years. Cruelty is another matter.....if you cant look after them ,dont get one
  19. Sent you a PM Paul.
  20. Good price £70 and i believe the 2nd edition is the better one. Nordle has been looking for one although think he is on holiday.
  21. One from a forum member i have been after and not easy to find. 1841 with COLON a lot harder than the common one.
