Its more to do with being ethical. I dont like what some sellers do as much as anyone else but to put someones mobile with derogatory comments does not seem right. Think the numbers especially the mobile could of been pasted over. Unfortunately we live in a world surrounded by some weird people and on a public/open forum it only needs one to read it. Only my opinion....atleast you did not put my number up If you think its ok that is up to you as your post.- 48 replies

You miss the point Dave people search for things on the internet on there own accord. Telephone numbers may not be shown unless at the descretion of the owner.- 48 replies

I remember a block of about a hundred 10/ notes being sold on ebay a few years ago. They are scarcer in large groups as obviously banks gave out larger denominations. The buyer relisted them not long after and i felt really happy as i got them for a lot less and at a cheap price. I paid straight away but the day after he refunded my money and sent me an apology as why putting them in the envelope he had knocked a cup of tea on them........ Pete.- 48 replies

Thats really what i mean Matt they can only list it as they see it and they are varieties however you look at it
-
Not sure about create there own although i can only talk about pennies. Sure they can also only say what is there or they see. I did send one in this batch that has been listed as a new variety for them a 1920 penny. Although the difference was obvious and a relatively low grade they i assume have to list it as different. I have never given details on a form ,so cant really comment on that.
-
In fairness Matt the graders at cgs are spot on. Occasionally mistakes are made with TPGS but can be rectified quite easily and everyone makes them. Last year i sent over twenty copper penny varieties in one batch, mainly Bramah or not listed. I didnt write down any information as to what i thought /new they were and just let CGS grade them. Although some were rejected(Happens with copper) they spotted everyone. IMO no other TPGS would of spent the time looking at them or in some instances known the variety even existed Pete.
-
Just received this back from CGS was graded 82.
-
Not got a clue Matt as i wouldnt buy them in the first place and have never sent one. If it was an error though i assume it would be graded as normal if damage from the mint and just listed with all the other errors.
-
Well after going on about the spot the coin was rejected for Field Damage Will look at the coin when i receive it back as by getting coins rejected i learn more than the ones ok. That is one of the reasons i have sent them to cgs ,not just for the grade but the condition. Fortunately i sent another 1918 that was ok and graded 82 so happy with that one . Pete.

Not the nicest looking penny but one i will always keep. Its the actual coin that was used to illustrate OBV 10 in the Michael freeman book "The victorian bronze penny ".

No Terry i seem to remember something on another thread and checking the few i had and all were normal.
