  1. Need a screenshot Pete, shouldn't be ads down the sides.
  2. Welcome Nemo. Probably the best bet is to head down to your bank and ask for them, they should oblige. If you get them elsewhere you might find that you pay more than 2p for a 2p
  3. Could be a end of life die then, is that line going across it raised?
  4. Your server room should be freezing cold, not warm..
  5. Nice errors Brian I especially like the florin Is the reverse on the halfpenny flush to the surface or is the coin bent?
  6. Jesus, blink and you'll miss it. I think it had had 3 or 4 views on the counter when I bought it, you must've searched just as it was listed! I'll report back when it gets here, sorry he blocked you're attempt
  7. Sorry Mike, because you edited it, it didn't show as a new post and I completely missed it
  8. Indeed it does Tinypic?
  9. Thanks Jac. I've just been told that this seller sometimes re-uses photos, so we shall see what actually turns up
  10. A nice surprise earlier today, thought I'd do a quick check on the newly listed and this was the newest listing - £3.25 BIN with free postage to Spain, bonus!
  11. Nice of you to poke your head in Neil! But really, congratulations and every bit of luck in your endeavours, if you weren't already drowning in coins you certainly will be now lol
  12. Heard about this recently, a big step up and definitely a congratulations in order for Neil. Exciting times ahead for him.
  13. I'm assuming ANACS is American Numismatic Association Coin Service, but it's proving quite difficult to confirm
  14. Great minds, Paul! I tried and unfortunately you do get the lines on individual letters. I did think about it for 10 minutes or so but couldn't think of a way to add grades without a letter in every other word flagging up lol. F, EF, UNC are the offenders. ANACS and BTNA are good ones, adding them now! Thanks
  15. Keep the suggestions coming though, I'll add them as and when
  16. CGS LCGS NGC PCGS I made them all short links so if you hover over them it shows you what that means. Common sense to all the regulars, but when I started it wasn't so easy learning the names of the TPGs etc. Just thought it would help newer members.
  17. Gotcha, my mistake. So is this a rejected picture Paulus or did it grade ok?
  18. What that why it was rejected? I thought it was because of the scratch (which Swanny says wasn't there before he sent it). It's a really nice token though Paul
  19. It was more a time-stamp so you could look back on BBC iPlayer, but glad a few people got it at the time. It was pretty interesting to see, although I was expecting them to pull out 4, 5, 6+ fakes from £2,500 worth of £2 coins and not just the one.
  20. What Peter said! Pictures are a must to give you any information on value really.
  21. There's a segment on bbc 1 in the next 10 minutes about the most advanced fake 2 pound coin ever seen, might be of some interest.
  22. I think it's called the Blakesley effect (?) it should 'mush out' the side opposite to the clip. Looks genuine to me too, the beading is faded around the clips which is a good indicator, and if you've already tested and another 10p fits into the clip nicely, I wouldn't hesitate to say a mint error. Couldn't disagree with VS' value, around 5-10 quid sounds about right.
