I would have a guess at around a hundred - but it could be far less. More and more will come to light in coming years . I suspect this variety might be worth around £300 in a few years time as more and more finds are made, and the novelty fades away There again i thought that undated 20p coins would be worth £5 now and they still fetch £30 so I could easy be wrong - it's not an exact science
my grandads were inscribed on the edge , or just the silver one was he was an ord tommy in the royal marines - not sure if he had to pay extra for that. By the way ist WW medals were superbly struck though it is rare to see one these days that has not been well cleaned. English WWW1 medals are often called Pip squeak and Wilfred , after a popular cartoon in a national newspaper I think
Yep like medals and the like. There were so many medals given out in the first world war that for the first time they were not awarded at ceremonies but posted out in the post at the time - this did not go down well with the ordinary privates (who to be fair put their lives at risk every day , just like the rest). Many even threw them in the bin in disgust.
This whole sorry tale leads me to the conclusion that the whole company is inept and should not exist with it's attitude to customers . BREATHTAKINGLY USELESS
Well yes, the designer of these coins thought more about the quality of the design than the practicalities of making the darn things , best left to other folks in the know they thought, i'm sure of that
Ok I'm sick of the nipple clamps and the stretching in the cellar , Now i give in, "Ok You can go to that bloody coin fair at Birmingham this coming weekend"
These are also repro in china and sold to tourists as cheap souvenirs , Millions are spread over the whole world now , so please don't get excited it might be genuine it prob isn't
There are literally millions of forgeries issued into circulation in George the thirds reign , it was considered a very serious offense to pass them on in this reign that saw off napoleon and the french revolution . If they had taken over from the circulating coin it would have had a very serious effect on the economy
