  1. Just saw this on the BBC news website regarding the pensions
  2. This is his ebay name, shfae1, he has a couple of coins for sale
  3. I did notice the rise in value. I was looking around for a deal on Vol. I (until I had the doh moment), and was really surprised at the prices...you're right about the increase, what's going on out there?Fortunately, I won't be needing Vol. I for a bit...at least not until I expand the borders of Edward II to include the Plantagenets in their entirety, which is what I intend to do when the good times start rolling in again! Buy now and avoid a 3 figure book Thats out of Print probably? Keep a lookout at auctions for them at lower prices if you're lucky, also the probability that metal detectorists are also buying them may be a factor
  4. Lol.....i stay awake at night
  5. There is 2 volumes of North though, if you like hammered coinage then i'd buy the both. Great books
  6. North is always a valuable reference, my Suggestion Would be to buy soon as those books Have risen sharply in price. My first cost me £40, the 2nd £85
  7. Ok, as a Scotsman having Worked in the UK but obviously now the other side of the Channel can someone explain whats happening there with the pensions, not sure if i can go blow cash on coins or not
  8. Aydin Ezen is his name. He has a gold collection that might probably be on par with the Bently collection. Everything goes to PCGS, so it should be easily found, he is as you say Chris Turkish and from Ankara i believe but lives in London. Alan from MHCOINS knows him
  9. That might be aydin edzen (ithink thats his name) Chris. Alan from MHcoins who is on here seems to know him particularly well.
  10. I hope you're not thinking of a purchase Stewie
  11. You could pay some their national debt with a few of these
  12. Ahhhh, WCC William Connor Connor, my son' name, tenner for it?
  13. He's sending to NGC stewie welcome John from Greece.
  14. Lol, FS-COINS, he's doing his ebay name a great favour selling fakes.
  15. Which in turn Rob, means they can't be added
  16. Choices should be obviously in the eye of the poster surely, regardless what others think, each have their own arguements. A certain Limit on purchase Price for reasons of normality should be in place, 1000GBP for each coin listed. So a 5k Limit? Excluding patterns
  17. A Vicky florin would Have to be in amoungst this for me Also a George IV halfcrown, love the REV design, it's so busy

    Swap

Errrrr yes London coin company, selling at an extortionate price. I'd pay £20, but i din't want one. Nothing against your coin, but the LCC price is ridiculous.
  20. NGC grades counter-stamped coins based on the counter-stamp, not the host coin. Bizarre though don't you think, as both are relevant to a collector and as to value? And i feel somewhat smug Although as i said earlier, UK auction houses grade both
  21. Lol, ich verstehe auch nur ein kleines bisschen, weil ich aus Schottland bin
  22. I'll of course shhhhh, but it won't shhhhh China. Viel Spaß with that xxx
  23. Hmmmmmm, as long as you have its certificate, but, China does well in that catagory
