  1. I see the coin as NVF personally, PCGS has it slabbed as XF and so He uses the British grade to increase the price 6 fold,
  2. Notice how this seller intigrates the American XF grade for a British EF grade. XF 40 equates to a CGS Good Fine making this coin About £780 overpriced 221491637784
  3. This One is also in the same sale estimated at £800-£1500 amd was listed on an American dealers website last year at $2250 initially and went down to $1850 after no bites. The scratch on the OBVS cheek is a little detracting, i'd say it was no more than a £500 coin, so looks like the dealer is looking for more than money back on this. It will be interesting to see where it starts and falls at, i'm hoping no one bites at £800, to me its never a £1000 coin
  4. This arsehole should be shot at dawn along with IDS. Claiming to have lowered unemployment while dishing out severe cuts to the already impoverished unemployed while giving their Champagne quaffing friends heads up and first dibs on various contracts stinks to high heaven. Hiding the Phedos that languish within Westminster is also another point. The whole establishment stinks and needs a radical clear out because the Tories are in it for themselves and their buddies, Cameron and his cronies don't have a clue about the common man on the street and certainly don't give a shit about them either. One day the shit will hit the fan that Westminster and those who sit there are bottom feeders who should be brought to justice for their cover ups and tipping the wink to their chums on up coming sales of the NHS and the PO for example. The place is rotten to the core, then there's the House of Lords whose members don't pay tax and are unelected, WHY should they be exempt? An absolute joke
  5. Always complaining about the Scots but never want us to leave the union. Come The GE when we have a full quota of 50 odd Scots MPs then we'll see whats about to happen. Watch this space Scotland already has 59 MPs. Only the 6 SNP ones are really odd. No, thats the 53 labour MPs who will be redundant after the GE
  6. Always complaining about the Scots but never want us to leave the union. Come The GE when we have a full quota of 50 odd Scots MPs then we'll see whats about to happen. Watch this space
  7. Not to take over the OP, but advice required in this coin, grade and overall general thoughts. On reflection i should have put this in the "more pennies" thread if anyone can move it
  8. Love it, the thistle is perfect
  9. Minimum of 2 litres water a day. Take it easy
  10. In answer to The question i'd say because it's relatively cheap and an Icon of Victoria coinage. Perhaps The buyer is another Scott and does'nt have The 4 figures required to ever scratch a large itch. It is ugly though
  11. I'll do my best to piss everyone off in turn Some people just dislike straight talking, ESPECIALLY when it comes to their coins
  12. Talking straight is one of my best traits, a lot of people dislike it, but why bullshit. Many years ago my best buddy asked me my opinion of his new girlfriend (wrong move) she was one of those that if you had a spanner she was a mechanic and if you were a good dancer then she was ballroom Champion, in other words she was full of shit. I'd also had a few beers at The time of telling him what i saw, he basically dismissed it as me being drunk, 2 children later and a lot of tears i had to console him on their split, i Did'nt say "told you so" though. People as you say Rob are blinkered, i May be wrong about The 2 coins i've discussed in The last 24hrs but its my honest opinion, i've seen better on both ocassions and graded lower, but if yiu're trying to pluck out The good stuff a great deal of care and attention and an eye for detail gradually becomes 2nd nature, i'm not perfect, but i know what i want.
  13. Mine is Tun Stewie, but even giving for this and that it's still not a GVF coin. A GVF coin is one of those that if you see one and don't own an example you'd try and purchase it, I've 2 of those in my collection where i never really blinked when i bought them due to The grade, why is it though when you offer advice that people become territorial, it's not his wife i described, it's a coin, Then to get nasty and think i was German who apparently cannot grade according to him just Shows what a retard and of low Intelligence he is. Thank god i don't live over there anymore
  14. Hi, looking at your grade on this shilling of GVF, its a bit generous. Even though it has a round flan the bust is far to worn as is the REV shield. I've attached my GVF to compare the difference. I'd rate yours at NVF. Regards
  15. So I sent this ebayer a message about his coin http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321694714745?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26ghostText%3D%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D321694714745%26_rdc%3D1 He's graded it as GVF and I know mine to be better than this this and felt it was 1 full grade overgraded. I sent him 1 message and got 3 back Message number 1 Ok! Message number 2 Your coin are in NEF!!! And message 3, bear in mind i emailed ONLY once Your Germany U don't know F all about coins conidtion it gettin annoying me and telling me what to do just bog off don't message me with idiot question Are they all neandrethals?
  16. The J1 shilling i posted was graded raw as XF by heritage and was Sold by them in April 2013 and sold for $969 plus commission @ 20%? works out To around £750 but i'm sure this same coin was in a British auction last year with a £1000 price Tag. The ebay one has worn beads plus Kings head also has wear, there's also a couple of OBV field scratches, 1 running from The beard outwards and one from The part worn beads, inwards. Being VERY critical i know, but if i was spending £1250 Then i should be, its not GEF for me, i'm in The GVF camp and The price is ouchy for the grade, sorry Neil. Your 3d is a nice grade and i normally try and compare coins to get a Feel for grade, my ER I groat was graded as GVF and i'd say your 3d was up there. You kept it VERY quiet, why are'nt you keeping it? I've made my bid on it anyway The REV of the heritage coin i's attached
  17. To be fair, Dave, he's only saying the portrait is GEF. Shame it isn't the big crown though!Could do with higher resolution images, really. A lesser mark, but not excessively so, I'd have thought...not that I know anything of value about J1! What you want Dave is this...a genuine unrecorded obverse on this 1564 3d of Elizabeth! I spoke to Chris Comber and he concurs with my thoughts that this obverse was an unused (we think) die from 1561/62. The rusty die, unclogged bust, and Rose 5 supports this theory. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Unrecorded-Obverse-Elizabeth-I-1564-3d-Threepence-Bust-3F-Reverse-BCW-BA-h-/231504730087?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35e6c1d7e7 Also a very rare Bust 3F Cross-Crosslet Halfgroat scheduled for the weekend too! We Or certainly i don't buy On portrait alone. The attached Coin was graded as XF. And i don't see The ebay One being half a grade better
  18. And how much would you want for said coin?
  19. I've emailed to tell them of the hugggggggge error in their listing. On another note, sorry Neil but far too expensive plus grade 181687819548
  20. He PROBABLY did see the H but wanted to try and mug someone off in the hope they'll buy a common coin at rarity value
  21. There's only been 3 bidders with 20 bids And One with zero feedback, a helping hand one would think On this copy
  22. Price has been changed but not the deacription, still a little umethical knowingly trying to sell it without the wording change
  23. I thought about that after posting here Rob and did send an email
  24. Yet another fake trying to be sold off as original even though it has a copy mark on the REV http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/371276681329
  25. Fake? Check out the border terth on both sides http://m.ebay.com/itm/121590159653?_mwBanner=1&_trksid=p2054897.l4275
