  1. The 2 1905 shillings Are rare dates although low grade, they might be worth £100 ballpark area, the others i would think will be bullion
  2. Realised prices are'nt online yet, just checked their website. Maybe try later this afternoon
  3. 99% of people on here are looking for quality of EF and upwards. Scott might be your best bet but failing that, ebay
  4. You mean the lottery Stewie
  5. What they usually Do is scan the book and see a high price for a rarity and hey presto its a rarity, but Pity help you if you try and correct them because all of a sudden you know fcuk all and they've become instant dealers.Ebay is good for that
  6. Happy birthday old bean (null)
  7. It might be a piedfort proof
  8. Windows 10 will be the last according to microsoft
  9. You should have been able to backup Windows 7 when you bought the laptop, there's always a feature for this.
  10. The florin date is on the OBV (queens head side) and will most probably be in Roman numerals such as MDCCCLVII. The later sixpences will have been taken from circulation judging from the date he was born, hence the fact there is so many of them
  11. Seriously, am I missing something here? This coin was sold at Lockdales along with 1 other in the same lot for £75 181756422662
  12. I'm not so sure prices for GV will change drastically as the mintages were in the millions whereas how many C1 ahillings do we see in good grades (or should i say, with eye appeal) Of course there is collectors out there for GV but i'd rather be chasing a good Chas 1 or Liz shilling than a relatively modern coin
  13. One of my favourite REV design as well along with the 1825 halfcrown REV design
  14. Personally I just think his 2 posts are click bait whereby he's luring you too the website in order to push the website name. Still, 3k for am error aquatics is still ridiculous and i think the poster is trying to push the view maybe because he has one himself which might be put onto ebay shortly in order to push the price. So if any google clickers are reading this, don't be so bloody stupid to pay 3k for a 50p, buy an Oliver Cromwell Halfcrown instead, something with history attached to it
  15. Well it looks like someone else spotted this conman. Another cherry received, this time for the Richard III coin itself
  16. I think the shift of "any coin will do" has become more apparent in the last 12-18 months. Charles I reign is IMO one of the most important in Terms of history, but i believe TG is one of the "old school" collectors but unlike Brooker etc there was much more material avaliable at that time, trying to find and buy it now is a much more unenviable task
  17. You may have Hit the nail on the Head Stewie (average) it seems Charles I collectors may also be seeking asthetically pleasing coins also. If i were to want a Lizzie halfcrown for example there's plenty of worn ones out there for several hundred, but why settle for that when you'll only try and upgrade eventually?
  18. His 1 feedback is from a d***k with a 1 feedback and the winning bidder so far is e***k with a 1 feedback. Names seem far too coincidental plus the 1 feedback for all 3, i'd say its a small red warning light the Size of the Taj mahal. A Stolen picture and a sell and run raid on an unsuspecting bidder, and whilst watching the end of auction he just Received a cherry for being a con artist, something Else that made me wonder, what would his great grandfather know about slabbing companies.
  19. Welcome greenmeme. Its most likely a half Sov at that weight and as Rob says, bullion value only. Feel free to post your pictures should you need help with any other coins. Value comes with grade and rarity, silver coins up to 1920 were .925 so if you have any which are of low grade then they may have silver content value.
  20. The funny thing is I've never seen one sell for 3k, so where did the price tag come from for the swimmer. The owner of this forum sold one last year and it made £900, so don't believe all tabloid propaganda. The dateless 20p is another that is selling at between £30 and £40 depending on grade, so ask yourself where they get those prices from
