  1. Hi, looking at your grade on this shilling of GVF, its a bit generous. Even though it has a round flan the bust is far to worn as is the REV shield. I've attached my GVF to compare the difference. I'd rate yours at NVF. Regards
  2. So I sent this ebayer a message about his coin http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321694714745?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26ghostText%3D%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D321694714745%26_rdc%3D1 He's graded it as GVF and I know mine to be better than this this and felt it was 1 full grade overgraded. I sent him 1 message and got 3 back Message number 1 Ok! Message number 2 Your coin are in NEF!!! And message 3, bear in mind i emailed ONLY once Your Germany U don't know F all about coins conidtion it gettin annoying me and telling me what to do just bog off don't message me with idiot question Are they all neandrethals?
  3. The J1 shilling i posted was graded raw as XF by heritage and was Sold by them in April 2013 and sold for $969 plus commission @ 20%? works out To around £750 but i'm sure this same coin was in a British auction last year with a £1000 price Tag. The ebay one has worn beads plus Kings head also has wear, there's also a couple of OBV field scratches, 1 running from The beard outwards and one from The part worn beads, inwards. Being VERY critical i know, but if i was spending £1250 Then i should be, its not GEF for me, i'm in The GVF camp and The price is ouchy for the grade, sorry Neil. Your 3d is a nice grade and i normally try and compare coins to get a Feel for grade, my ER I groat was graded as GVF and i'd say your 3d was up there. You kept it VERY quiet, why are'nt you keeping it? I've made my bid on it anyway The REV of the heritage coin i's attached
  4. To be fair, Dave, he's only saying the portrait is GEF. Shame it isn't the big crown though!Could do with higher resolution images, really. A lesser mark, but not excessively so, I'd have thought...not that I know anything of value about J1! What you want Dave is this...a genuine unrecorded obverse on this 1564 3d of Elizabeth! I spoke to Chris Comber and he concurs with my thoughts that this obverse was an unused (we think) die from 1561/62. The rusty die, unclogged bust, and Rose 5 supports this theory. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Unrecorded-Obverse-Elizabeth-I-1564-3d-Threepence-Bust-3F-Reverse-BCW-BA-h-/231504730087?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item35e6c1d7e7 Also a very rare Bust 3F Cross-Crosslet Halfgroat scheduled for the weekend too! We Or certainly i don't buy On portrait alone. The attached Coin was graded as XF. And i don't see The ebay One being half a grade better
  5. And how much would you want for said coin?
  6. I've emailed to tell them of the hugggggggge error in their listing. On another note, sorry Neil but far too expensive plus grade 181687819548
  7. He PROBABLY did see the H but wanted to try and mug someone off in the hope they'll buy a common coin at rarity value
  8. There's only been 3 bidders with 20 bids And One with zero feedback, a helping hand one would think On this copy
  9. Price has been changed but not the deacription, still a little umethical knowingly trying to sell it without the wording change
  10. I thought about that after posting here Rob and did send an email
  11. Yet another fake trying to be sold off as original even though it has a copy mark on the REV http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/371276681329
  12. Fake? Check out the border terth on both sides http://m.ebay.com/itm/121590159653?_mwBanner=1&_trksid=p2054897.l4275
  13. And a happy 65th also. Time to sit back and relax (null)
  14. I like the line stating you should avoid 1866 and 1871 halfcrowns, as these are forgeries. OK, thanks for the info..Quoting his eBay blurb here "Victoria's Half Crowns were struck from 1839 to 1901, none were struck between 1851 and 1873 because of the striking of the new decimal coin the Florin which was struck in its place. " Since when did decimalisation come into effect between 1851 and 1873?
  15. Ibelieve 1909 in high grade is rare
  16. Perhaps prohibited by youtube and the owner of the clip

    CGS Again

I think some liquid refreshment is on the cards this evening
  18. Stewie i totally agree with what you say about todays German kids still having too live with another generations atrocities. Living and working here i do see it first hand. While we must always learn from history and never forget what happened there should be a point where future generations SHOULD'NT be blamed for a previous generations actions. Look at Britain during the 1700 and 1800s, they colonised 2 thirds of the planet while America dropped 2 A bombs in Japan and wiped out millions, what has been said about that? I really do think it's time to let the future generations be cut a little slack
