  1. I received a reply back now saying the extra charge was for packaging, but the packaging consisted of a bit of bubblewrap thinly wrapped around the 2 coins i bought and a padded envelope, cost, perhaps 50p yet the 1st email says it was for insurance. Robbing Bar stewards
  2. Stuart.............Dundee booked for the 25th June for a week
  3. It can also be a dangerous thing
  4. £8000-£10000 is a hell of an estimate
  5. 3 over 1 and 3 over 2 are both recorded Stuart, was just curious myself how they got a 1 from that 2, as you say Rob/Stuart, perhaps it was an error in their listing, but it's also on the invoice. Speaking of which, the robbing gits charged me 14 quid for postage and it has 8.30 GBP on the PO ticket. I emailed and asked why there was a discrepancy of 5.70 GBP and she said it was their internal insurance, i then proceeded to tell her i was from the UK and that airsure with insurance of 500 GBP only costs 11 quid and asked that if i bidded again that this should be how my items are posted in future as their internal insurance seems to be very expensive. NO REPLY SINCE..................Strange that
  6. And the whole coin
  7. This arrived today from the last Locdales sale, described as 1763/1 but looks more like 1763/2 to me. Anyone else
  8. That coin is the 2013 Birth of Prince George proof 5 pound. That coin cost $130 at issue, plus $30-40 for submission/grading. While I still don't think it's worth the $329 asking price, it's a far cry from $450 for a coin that can be had for $30. Also, that "import fees" part of eBay is a complete farce. The shipping in the US is free from that seller, and eBay is likely making a killing on these types of coins when they add this "import charge" to them. This (among other reasons) is why I never sell on eBay outside the 50 US states. You are correct, i concede that one, i must get Glasses. On the Import tax subject, apparently the seller must oot into it, but i said before that ebay or someone is making Profit from this practise and really something should be done about it because they are asking for far more money in Import tax than the Import tax that would be due
  9. Another festival of Britain, this one is only $329 131109315616 Now we know who's pushing prices, so many idiot collectors who are basically buying into plastic P.s, there's also $78 in import charges on this, i think the import charges alone makes the coin expensive
  10. For the fellow dinosaurs. I saw something the othe day that made me smile. It was a post that was flying around Facebook land. It said: My Internet went down last week and had to speak to the Family..................They seemed like nice People lol
  11. Dislike is the opposite of like. If you liked something by accident you have the opportunity to unlike it. There is no dislike function, it would hurt too many egos, especially on here
  12. Thanks peeps, all confirmed now.
  13. Well thats an absolute joke of an Archive site. Says it cannot find it even when giving the exact date. Ok so i'm looking for realised Price and description of lot 567
  14. Has anyone a link to realised prices of Spink 207 please? (null)
  15. Its only my FB account Chris. What i as saying was it would be a good feature to use particularly in the "coin aquisition of the week" thread if you can't be bothered writing something but like the coin that was uploaded. have you asked your Hosting company about something like this?
  16. IT may have its merits in the coin aquisition of the week thread, instead of dropping a comment, you can just give it a thumbs up or you could also you the other option above
  17. I found this one helps on Facebook
  18. Happy birthday euch.
  19. No, i don't want too sell it now nor does he want to buy it, he just thought that if he bought 2 coins he'd get a £200 rebate. Some ebayers just think they can buy coins at 95% off the asking price. I had one in 2012 send a £30 offer on an 1850 shilling that was priced at £2000
  20. He must be on crack cocaine if he thinks he's sold 105 of those at that price....... NUMPTY. How does he fiddle the stats to say this many have been sold at that price? There has to be a flaw somewhere within ebay. Although looking at his negatives i would' bother purchasing anything from the seller even if he had something i wanted. A bit like the coin seller centiles, he has something now and again but you just can't Trust it
  21. Yes and this particular fool now wants me to cancel the coin in which he made his initial offer on which i accepted. I told him i was'nt going to do his legwork and that he should cancel if he wished. I'll give him his 4 days then start the dispute so he can get a non payment strike against his name A small pleasure i shall have from this fools time wasting
  22. He must be on crack cocaine if he thinks he's sold 105 of those at that price....... NUMPTY.
  23. Unfortunately Stuart, ebay has many weird and wonderful characters, some of which i think have been on some of Peters puff. I had one last night make an offer on a coin, i Duly accepted then he made another offer on another coin which i Duly countered. He then emails to say that his first offer was based on the proviso that i also accept his Second which was £150 less than what it's listed at. He seemed to Take offence at my Counter offer and said "it was his last offer and hope we could see a way forward" which i Duly turned down. I wish i could buy coins at what these ebayers want to buy them for....... P.s, it was'nt me who bought it even though i had mentioned it too you, i'm still holding fire for something, dunno what though right now, but i'm not rushing.
