    Postage

I just wanted to bring this (thorny subject) up due to an experience i've just had. I bought 2 lots from the saleroom and i noted that it had the saleroom delivery banner underneath. I checked up the postage cost to me and for 1 lot i purchased (4 proof sets) it was going to cost 35 GBP, i then bidded on (unexpectedly) another coin weighing no more than 30g. Having won both items i then received an ATG DELIVERY Price in my email of 62 GBP so they wanted another 27 GBP for 1 small coin weighing no more than 30g. Feeling slightly pissed off i then emailed them to say that the Price seemed excessive considering they wanted 35 GBP for 4 sets and that for 1 extra coin going into the same packet that they were charging me another 27 GBP. An email reply saying they were sorry that the Price did'nt meet my expectation and reduced it to 42 GBP, feeling i had won a small victory i then agreed to the Transaction. They then sent me after 4 days the tracking number and when i clicked on it, it was only then i realised how ripped off i felt. They have used a firm that i use all the time when i go to the UK, i can post up to 30 KILOS for a Maximum of 15 GBP, so it's cost them NO MORE than 15 GBP to send my item. Now, when you think about their Initial postage Quote of 62 GBP i now feel well and truly f**&Qd off that they've tried to rip me off for so much Money abd just thought i'd share. The Company that they've used is interlink express (a fantastic Company i might add) and everything normally gets here within 4 working days, sometimes quicker. I just thought i'd make you all Aware of how much These companies and this particular packaging Company will rip you off for postage. I have emailed them to ask them where they get their postage cost from considering i use the same Company, we'll see what they say.

  16. Yes i knew this about the road tax Peck, they just use it for wars etc, but back in the day when copper123 had mentioned, it was used what it was designed for, this was my Point.
  17. Never mind the Font, the coin has a Reeded edge in his picture which is wrong. A 20 year old collection you say, from where did you buy this 20 year old coin? We like to keep up with people who sell fakes and would appreciate a name if it were an ebay seller or dealer on the net
  18. Hello, this is'nt ebay
  19. If you look through this whole topic its very plain to see before during and after., the posters who are writing the comments are writing in a THEM AND US form which is the way it ALWAYS has been, so if Scotland should decide to vote for independence then it will be US and not "the little boys up North" as is the General feeling. The comment by copper123 regarding the roads, well i'm sure ROAD TAX was designed to repair/Build roads, so quite why Westminster should decide not to repair/Build inside Scotland is open for debate, but let me say this, i've driven on some terrible roads in England also. Accumulators Statement about why Englamd is'nt allowed to vote is yet just ANOTHER smack in the face of a UNION because i thought Wales and NI were also part of this marriage yet none of you have mentioned that Wales and NI should also vote. So yet again we see how arrogant English mindsets are in regards to the Union (that it and all the Nations in the Union actually belong to England) and so this is why i find the whole Situation arrogant and justified that only SCOTLAND should decide its fate. P.s, no offence AC, just making my point
  20. Politisions are politisions because of their own self inerests. Don't think because the politisions for their own self interests are panicing and want the UK to stay whole that the people give a hoot.If Scotland really want to seperate, the English should be given a vote. Turnout would be very low but it would be a land slide result. Landeslide result? You Sound like a Tory Gary because you are telling me something that you don't REALLY know, facts are what is required and not myth, feel free to give me facts.
  21. Just so we are in agreement about the NHS, this is cuts/proposed cuts to English hospitals
  22. Looking through this thread its easy to see the perception of the English contigent of Scottish independence. Some say we should be grateful for English rule (lol, really?) still have'nt seen 1 good arguement as to why Scotland should stay. A majority seem to think we should, so i'd like to hear/read why, then when you have nothing to argue about, think why Westminster are so keen to keep a firm grip of Scotland, off you go, lets see what you have
  23. Sorry but how many roads have you driven on in Scotland? You Quote the NHS and Railways Systems, ermmmmmmm i assume the NHS in Englamd is all honky dorey and the Railways fares in England are much lower than Scotlands to to their over use? Hahaha come on, these Systems are buggered not because its a specific nations, but because Government after Government has pissed all over what was once a great System and has been ruined by Westminster and not by Scotland, why, Tiny Scotland has free prescriptions so our system seems to be running ok, do you pay for yours? Of course you do, and as stated before, Scotland pays more tax than we receive back yet we have free prescriptions, maybe you should be asking your government why instead of blaming Scotland for what exactly lol?
  24. Yet More Dirty tricks (or an attempt at least) by the establishment you are obviously not wanting Scotland to leave http://wingsoverscotland.com/playing-with-fire/ I wish they'd just let Freedom of choice prevail instead of resorting to this BS
