  1. They won't respond as they are Never wrong, in their eyes at least (null)
  2. You seem to be getting a little stressd. The S D is in plain view in the Centre, Butt here is also a very small R D to the right of the coin, thats what was mentioned
  3. I just downloaded the Kindle app for my Mac - it works fine, so that looks like the way for me to go Did you Download the kindle Version Peck or the ePub version, i downloaded the kindle app, but just wanting to make sure which to download
  4. Think i'll Download it this time, i have last years in Paper form (which i generally prefer) but as Jaggy said, if you're on the go or at fairs etc it'll be good for a quick price reference. Wonder if Spink will go digital.
  5. Use a picture Hosting site such as photobucket and the copy the IMG url into your reply
  6. Hmmmmm i think you might not be reading correctly Nicholas, it looks to be that its probably not genuine. The S looks very squint also compared to all the Lockett Plate pictures, the majority of those seem quite straight, that can of course be down to the strike, but looking at the both would make me wonder and also the RD stamped on the right hand side. Be cautious and don't get annoyed or upset at what the forum members might say, they are trying to help and Rob and historiccoinage are both very knowledgable in this area
  7. Just curious, but can this be downloaded for ipad? kindle is just a poor mams ipad
  8. I have another curious question. Do any of you set out targets for each forthcoming year or just buy what fits?
  9. How does the price compare to the £290 delivered coin that went on eBay the other week?http://www.predecimal.com/forum/topic/8375-common-e1-6d-but-top-grade/#entry94906 When you look at the roses, you can see the extent of the varieties, not to mention the reverse differences, yet both 1561! Dave'll be digging his new book out and studying all this very soon! Still awaiting the book Stuart, and thats a decent Lizzie, much is that TG?
  10. Because you just can't beat history
  11. Hoping isn't a very sensible way forward. Buy what you can see. Oh I haven't bought it, but for £40 for the CC mint one would be a steal Here's a CC for you Sam
  12. A nice honest coin Bob. You do have an eye for rarities.
  13. BUT..................its pewter http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171194365394?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D171194365394%26_rdc%3D1
  14. Agreed but there are 2 fools in this, the 1 who slabs it straight from the mint and the other who buys it for an over-inflated price in the slab
  15. A Quote from the ebay blurb"As a guide to price, the last example we sold some years ago went for £950" probably forget to mention the helping hand he probably gave it, this time it sold for £330 which is more realistic IF IT SOLD that is The winning bidder with a 10 feedback score, feedback will reveal if it actually sold
  16. Maybe one for you in the Heritage sale accumulator, i like the look of that one myself http://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=1105&category=22650&lot=1030290
  17. I did'nt hinkt Hey were that rare either Peck, i's have said it was a fairly common coin as they come up for sale quite often
  18. There does'nt seem to be quite the rush as some of those sellers anticipated. You can get one for just over face on ebay unslabbed
  19. Is that you quoting a SPINK BOOK PRICE Rob? Surely a coins value is what a buyer is Willling to pay and Spink is merely a guide
  20. I think Spink have left the patterns to others such as Peck and a good idea at that or else the book would be massive
  21. I have a few things listed on the bay but i'm letting them run out and not relisting until the end of the month, all are BINs though
  22. Agreed, best to leave it, hopefully they may come down in their Price as it's now obviously to much
  23. I also agree with you Rob, some People think These things go cost free. I vertainly post at cost and thats without the cost of the packet included, anything over 46 Pounds goes Special delivery, under that goes signed for, but you always get People who think that postage should be 1 Pound for everything. Then there's this visibility Thing for People who post free of Charge which is a joke and an unfair Monopoly as i also pay my fees just like everyone else. In short, i hate ebay
  24. £13.55 for a coin with a legal face value of £20! Now that's good business... for the buyer. Methinks 'motodude' drives a Reliant Robin and does shady deals on London estates. Nobody can lose so much that easily without being a real plonker. Monge twa Rodders
