    i picked up bost types of 2008 1p this week, been a while since i seen old design have 2 old design 2p's 3 10p's and 5 of the £1 all old design 2008 lol not seen a britannia 50p, getting 1997's every flipping day

    yea quite common on all demoninations, (they are posted somewhere) but you will normally see this error every day i have 2 10p's that are double struck too.

    yup dye wear on that. i have noticed 2008 pennies with the legend near the rim fainter then normal... guess its new dyes etc. i have found many 20p's of varying dates post 1998 with blobs on the queens hair

    what were 6D's being used for in decimalization, the only coin that is that size is the current 5p

    looks like a dye error, i have one on a 2002 coin where part of the 2 is filled in

    not seen any of the earlier pre 97 £2, do have one of the commonwealth games AND the 2008 olympic games £2's though

    there must be more then 1 slender 3... hard to believe they would make a dye for a single strike

    i love those things but yea it possibly could, as the dutch had new york for a time great little cheap coins they didn't really change design can pick em up for a few quid each, great if you want something from the 1700's

    i have loads... but my 1909 came in a bulk buy i paied a couple of quid for lol dont have the other 2 though

    which as we know... didnt work lol i would so love one of those... so many little odds and ends in the bronze penny series i would love to own though

    those other things are dye cracks though, so perhaps some dye wear

    keeping recipts is one thing, what if you got something rare on the cheap? my 1858 small date farthing came with a card with the price of £5... no way would i be able to replace it at that. but yea use omnicoin, its a great place, i really do need to add up the total value of my collection, i know 3 or 4 of these coins are worth a fair chunk of the total value of my colelction (the 1858 farthing, 1939 rhodesia 6D, 1840 EF farthing = £120-150 alone)

    now i do look at it in hand... i do see a slight differance in the pointing between my other 1909's, never knew i had that one so now we have 11

    i have a 1937 penny that has sort of greened, not verdegris either. what causes silver stuff to tone a golden colour

    no idea, its oinly a minor error piece, so not much more then normal, still rather cool. i love toning, my 1953 penny has streaky lustre AND toning, which is why i got it.
