  1. dang, i want that 50p so bad interestingly the only other part of the set is the old design 20p, i have only ever seen one, i have 2 each of the 2 and 10p's and about 4 or 5 of the £1
  2. scott

    1926 Penny

some places still have those old machines complete with the pennies to run them. just have to find them
  3. something probably got on the dye, quite cool though
  4. well there are some listed variants with 1 over 1's etc
  5. i'll sell every 20p i have with no date on heads for 21p.... except my 1992's and my 2008 old design
  6. all 5p's had milled edges
  7. another fake 20p, doesnt look right, obverse legend is too thin, and the strange grey colour. http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=969159
  8. 1992 20p. there were two types only 31,205,000 minted (thats not many if you look at other years) in total and there were two types... the small head (1985-91) head and the large head (93-97) the small head is rarer (i wonder if thats a mule?)
  9. is it this type? currently? not much as its pretty much unknown, one to perhaps keep away safe for the future... 1992 is a great date for 20ps too
  10. another one that is terrible http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=969054
  11. seen some UNC stuff in the post office a few weeks ago.. but anything "new" recieved has been 2008.... i'll keep an eye out
  12. ahh 10-12 years ago, thats when i bought my first pieces, some i am very pleased with *cough 1858 farthing* cough i found the card the dealer had with it (description and price) i was unware then about the fact it was small date lol noticed the bits i bought then and now, i got some nice pieces back then for about a fiver
  13. i have a big bucket of new pence 2ps... time to make some money lol
  14. wth? rare 2 p new pence 1971... 2 bids lol link
  15. nah, but in a way it does put this into perspective, i have seen one in EF for sale at £65 lol so in some ways its around and about the same of the proper value.
  16. wow only 200k? thats a very nice find then, thanks for that information
  17. i'm basing it more on future value rather then current, most people spend these so they won't check for rarity and as a result probably not, but in the future...
  18. from a recent bulk buy 1939 southern rhodesia 6D, seen a similar one in a slightly better state (only slightly as the only differance is mine has discolouration) on a site for £65, wondering if thats just an over ambitious person or whether it is worth that 1/2 cent from straits settlement 1916, need a value both i would love a minting figure for
  19. saw a nice penny dated 1963 on ebay with a differant spreading then usual... 18 63. missed dout on it though but yea many date spreads even number types (1860, 61,62 especially had many spreads, and 1862 had differant angled 2's, have one posted here with 2 over 2...) even into edward 7th there were differant spreads as i have one of these i'll slap the image up i'll let you decide, i'll get a better one of the date tomorrow
  20. there is something about 1985 coins.. the legend seems slightly smaller. i would love one of those 1988 £1's in shiny.. my best find was a 1983 £1 with lustre (not full bright more like a brightness) but that was a few years ago now been luckier on other fronts. both types of 1992 20p (those are the hardest date to get either way lol) and a dot to dot 10p 1992 lol
  21. i have noticed the striking errors more on farthings, and that spreads to both sides
  22. 1861* just a typo, its still not bad wouldn't sell any farthings though even my 1858 small date
  23. i have one where the letters are faded and as a result the dot is fainter, that i would expect, the letters are very well struck and as a result i would expect the dot to be so
  24. yea i got this one, has some discolouration, got it nice and cheap though
  25. my dealer is a common undergrader. sometimes to the extreme my 1961 EF farthing i got for £1... O.o I had memerised the common aspects for george VI obverse, and got myself a VF 1946 3D for £4 (was about the same as the picture in the book)
