  1. £4,400 for platinum ones O.o
  2. its supposed to be rare. i havn't seen one yet either
  3. wern't 1967's minted all the way through to 1970? dunno about the dies though, the early 2008's were littered with die errors lol, i'm guessing with the modern figures its more or less accurate but earlier ones would be vague, would there be someone counting? lol
  4. ok the REG thing is common on farthings. but whats going on with the I in Victoria and the large join between the portrait and B (large dye break?)
  5. wow nice, dont forget the 2 over 1 too, butcan mine be listed as a veriant
  6. yea a picture would be great, this sounds exciting
  7. yea, i love those good cheap coins with a sort of charm about them. i know they were minted before 1735, but there were differant designs i have 3 of these coins in my collection, on of which is 1734. it does depend on this damage though. http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=962343 1734 so yea http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=962780 1750 not damaged, minting error http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=962972 1966 differant design.
  8. it pops up in a few places. 1925 halfcrown had 1.5 million yet is worth more then the 809k 1930
  9. well, nothing, is it counted as a type or not?
  10. nit of an odd one, most listings for "over" are usualy simple repunches on top of the old one, this is a repunch but the 2 is differant totally, some 1862's had a sloped 2 , this has a stright 2 over slanted 2 http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=966090 is visible on here but not that detailed click this to get a larger image, its clear on there.
  11. i got another fake in my change today, 1989 with EF worthy details, checked edge wrting... low and behold its faint the proof i wanted, i'll get that up when i can. now i got these last week... not £1.... but 20p's http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=966058 http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=966059
  12. my bottom link might be one of those "white metal" ones, some white parts on the coin. i wish they would make the pound out of a more solid material.. or make a bi-metalic.
  13. hah nice, might have rotated, the early £2 had troublesome centres
  14. some examples of fake £1... some a good some are terrible, i will have more other coins as i get them http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=965646 1998- pound, best fake pound i have found.... one major flaw.... no pounds were made in 1998 http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=964116 - one of the most rediculous , dated 1993 with the celtic cross design (not used until 96) and the design is so poor and its not even struck aligned http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=964117 - 2000, more reasonable again alignment it wrong and legend is thicker then normal, detail is not good either http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=964499 what do you think about this one? http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=965685
  15. the 1940 10 pfennig is aluminium the 1924 is weimar coin, and a nice design the gem is that 2 mark, it IS silver. i might be interested in that 2 mark, do you have a picture?
  16. that first one seems to be the remains of an italian 20 centismi, looks cut down and worked on. the other seems to be a medal coin rather then a token.
  17. RFG does pop up often its a dye break dunno what tomake about the 5 over 3 though, unless Heaton got a 1873 dye from somewhere (no 1873 H dyes)
  18. apart from this being bargain of the season (25p!!!!! i payed) was wondering where it stood in grading wise, as the only coins from that period i have a far worse then this and are copper... and dare i ask... value? http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=964743
  19. not really anything special about the date, most people keep coins from key dates, not much happened in 46 and 49 that warrented a keepsake from the year?
  20. can i see the farthing from 1953?
  21. silver 3 pence, not rare but a very nice coin none the less
  22. you can make it out, looks along the line from the lighthouse to the side. and look at the strange "marks"
  23. the lighthouse... look near it. seems to be some interesting shapes between rim and lighthouse.
  24. while i'm here... trying to find out about this one... http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=964646 look near lighthouse
  25. i dunno that 1861 is upper fair... and there are so many types... something i wouldn't mind owning myself isn't 1926 scarse on its own even without modfiied effigy
