  1. k it arrived today, overstrike is obvious on the 5, got shots which i'll upload later, not easy to see anything with the naked eye around the 3 area so i'll post the reverse also as those brittannia a's look like V's but with repunches all over the place its hard to see
  2. yea those can happen, i do have a 2008 £2 coin (techonology) with the bottom dot on obverse missing that is cool
  3. have a couple of 2's every 50p i get is annoying 1997's still getting some 2008's which are uncirculated though
  4. yea never noticed that lighthouse, never seen it like that. i do like the beaded boarders, look lovely
  5. still overpriced... they are not worth that, and i dont even think half of those are genuine
  6. well i dunno, perhaps the same person bidding almost £4 on a 1910 penny in fair?
  7. interesting coin, while the A isn't a V (you can see where the bar should be) same with the F, but i know some unbarred letters via die errors are listed seperatly
  8. possibly the striking is misaligned, cant see any other reason, so its better then a normal one
  9. first one cost me 5p, so not too fussed. I did buy the second 1912H at £2.65 inc postage, so a good priced upgrade.
  10. alright, makes sence, but the reason i ask, having a similar situation with another is it me or is there an H there? again it seems to vanish when i look from differant angles
  11. http://www.irish-tokens.co.uk/splitscreen/entry.htm look there, its a token, davis link on the side your is davis 67 here is my davis 42 :/
  12. yea its gorgeous, bit out of my budget though
  13. just had a look again at the first picture on phtoscape, its an odd one to call from the small picture it looks like there is one, yet zoom in on the area, its just colouration on the coin :/ and of course the 1876 with no H should look like the H coin (with the date where it is) but without a H, i'm not saying the H is missing, definatly not a full H visible though, i'm not 100% sure myself yet, but keep getting conflicting images when i check the images from differant zooms, just curious as to thinking if its perhaps a link to the missing H. on the picture linked it does show something underneath the 7 but it doesn't match up to the other coin's H (nothing near the 8) it does need explaining though, it just doesnt seem right, the H should be like the date and be visible
  14. the situation here is obvious as to what the problem is. one has a gorgeous looking obverse (#1) but a worn reverse. the colouration around the lettering is gorgeous and shos perhaps a lot less wear then the coin makes out as http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view.aspx?id=962787 (if picture has lots of white around the coni use this) looks better on the reverse (and the portrait itself) but the legend is not as nice

    1926 Penny

yea, the date spacing isn't really a question, i think it just adds to the overall niceness of the piece i think halfpennys got off worse though can get edward VII with as much wear as bun head penny and george V shillings too :/ some old head pennies

    1926 Penny

these are a few, not uploaded them all if anyone can identfy these, the 1908 date spacing looks good though

  21. there is also a blob below the 6 i have a few angles of interest which should show blobs and lack of any raised areas where said blobs are the bottom date is the one that interests me, because it shows.. there is nothing there at that zoom its a tiny bit blurred, but does show just geneal radom shading differances on the date area (there is a scratch under the 7)
  22. i own this penny, trying to work out whether the H is missing from it, i have another 1876 H in a similar condition the H is obvious on this one but no sign on the other
  23. i can try, but from that picture looking at the 3, there does seem to be something on there tailing ffrom the top of the 3, oince i get the coin in hand itself it will be easier
  24. i have heard of red uncirculated, but this? the lustre seems to be holding where it is red
