  1. There is verdicare which has just become available in the UK. I've bought a bottle because I have walked away from specks of surface green before. Not cheap but I like to experiment.
  2. I have been meaning to update for the last few years my in box of coins gets fuller and the ink to spreadsheets ditto.
  3. I see you had a boring show. I bet your wallet is a bit lighter. I would however be a bit concerned on the 54 1/2d.Reverse above the F of FID.
  4. The coin wasn't bad but the obverse put me off. However it is rare coin and if you want one there is a waiting list. Cheap to what the penny boys pay for absolute skank coins.
  5. Damn I was clutching my pocket money and missed that £250 beauty...who poured the plastic over it?
  6. Thank goodness My 79 year old mother would be lost. Note who the cheque is being paid to although I do take paypal/BACS/and Accumulator cyber bits.
  7. I'm still awaiting mine from Amazon.
  8. The seller has pointed this out. Maybe they can't read or just don't care. I suspect they will accumulate a large amount of dross over time. I missed the cleaned bit initially. I wouldn't have to read but just move on.
  9. When the option to zoom came up I was like a kid in a sweetshop.
  10. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1874-HALFPENNY-VICTORIA-Bronze-1-2d-Half-Penny-coin-S-3957-VHigh-Grade-REF-2714-/281238056625?pt=UK_Coins_BritishMilled_RL&hash=item417b182eb1&nma=true&si=wlquNkBcrmaKbdhiaiStElIlXUw%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 Can't these idiots realize it has been polished like a brass button.Unbelievable.
  11. I would happily pay you £1 for each of your pennies. 240 X face bet yer can't resist.
  12. Cyber money. Wikki is your place to read up on it. It has exploded in the last year...I missed the boat.
  13. I keep my cheque book in the safe.A few years ago it was in my briefcase. A few ebay dealers won't accept paypal from the UK (one hammered especially who has returned paypal payments)
  14. Whatever it is, he wants a whole Lotta Geld for a half Sovereign Dave look at the date.
  15. Sorry Rob Olly Murs....bit of a pop star. Mrs Peter fidgets when he is on TV. My nephew has at the expense of my sister/brother in law still studying at 29. I got my 1st company car at 21 my mate Max made his 1st million on the stock exchange by 21. Vocation/choice/hard graft...who knows. I'm happy to tick along.
  16. I once gave Rob Pearce the famous coin dealer a BU 1963 1/2d My nephew also went to school with Oly Mers. My nephew is now a professor so who did better?
  17. I used to frequent parties with the Cure.....I could go on but hey I'm too cool.
  18. It was well-known among sheep and amongst those young Scottish cabin boys
  19. We often stop at Avebury travel lodge on the way to Devon/Cornwall travelling down Friday evening making an early start Saturday before the glut of traffic. I do like the A303.
  20. Sorry for you. Can't or haven't you got electrical radiators? I always have a couple in the garage. But then again getting your head down in a nice warm hotel does have its appeal.
  21. At least you don't pay $10 a gallon.
  22. I'm in Suffolk but don't get enough time to get out much. When I see a Noble like yours I'm inspired.
  23. Red, George is one of Charles' names, and I also heard the same thing...that he wants to Crowned as George. There are rumors that he may "pass" in favor of his son...what do you think? Pass what? Wind? That is not how it works. Charlie will just have to have a short reign, assuming he outlives his mum Victoria 64 years.. Edward VII 9 years.. Elizabeth II 62 years and counting.. George VII ??.. I see a pattern here. Wonder what Wills will call himself? Katesman I? A lucky bugger if he ever gets in hands on both of the Middleton girls.Certainly warm you up.
  24. USA sneezes and the UK catches a cold.
  25. Tuck up to a nice log fire with your loved ones and watch antique programmes. A nice beef stew is also good. Both me and Mrs Peter are feeling rough today. Duvet time Keep warm all our US members. UK has had rain, floods and gales.
