  1. Just let a small fart out. The sprouts should assist.
  2. I hope it does because my face is like a smacked arse.
  3. Brilliant. My little face will be pressed up at the window.
  4. and directly from your site Clive. I will be back.
  5. It is just some of the sellers I exclude from searches. I mean I don't want to look at sellers who deal in modern tat. Of course I have had some goodies from Ebay
  6. I'm pleased a compromise has been reached or appears to have been. Over the years of watching Ebay I'm not interested in items for sale.
  7. Chris A typical example of promoting you http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=165615
  8. Now re listed at £99 BIN. I do respect the seller. Caveat emptor.
  9. I would avoid the seller.Long time Ebay t** on my avoid list. Cleaned and spoilt but....Ummmm....I just wouldn't want it. You've paid top money it would be worthless to a dealer(apart from ebay). Move it on and get a proper one.
  10. Long way to go. However if PCGS opened an office next door their letter box would not be rattled by me.....unless all my coins weren't real and I suddenly lost the will to live with not being able to grade them. .
  11. I often recommend your books.I don't really tart you....well maybe on Cow fancier monthly
  12. eBay gum (sic). That does not inspire confidence. Maybe they need to pass eBay chatline support to a suitably qualified linguist? Now that would be a cunning plan
  13. Chris has his feet up in front of the fire. (I have been tarting you on other forums ) I'm looking forward to it. It is one of the few books I always have at hand when surfing Ebay.
  14. Bill chairs their meetings. nuff said. I did enjoy his input but the UK market isn't ready for the US method / type of collectors. Likewise the average UK collector isn't dumb and go slobbering after a slabbed 2013 coin. Great if you want a Northumberland shilling/gothic crown slabbed but they can bugger off on my farthings/early cu of which I'm confident on being a better expert than they will ever be.
  15. I thought I would start a thread on protection and the like. I have many coin books which in their own right take pride of place in my collection. Peck,Montague,Bramah,ESC,Freeman,..............et al They all need a bit of love and care. Here is the Pikey bit (I won't suggest names but buses and boats spring to mind ) I have been doing a fair bit of building work on Peter Estate's and noticed at Wickes fabulous thick polythene bags (used for split cement bags ETC) A bit of the smooth tounged Peter and I left with several of these bad boys. Mrs Peter has then trimmed these and covered my books in a high grade polythene. I suppose you could also do your Jazz mags
  16. just a bit of one!I'm glad I'm not alone then! They'll never be worth more than face, not even in my son's lifetime I shouldn't think? I have a large padded envelope where I store my decimal keepers.I think I may get a larger one so I can climb in too. I really have no interest in decimals but I have a complete set of the Olympic 50p's. It is frightening that decimals have been around for over 40 years...should I be storing mint bags of 70's decimals?
  17. They were openly on sale in the East End in the early 90's
  18. Stuart you are just a Liz tart I do confess to putting BU decimals away. Our local PO often gets bags of earlier decimals and they put a few aside for me. I think Chris will have to market his book minus the pre. I can't see how Spink can do a better job.(or could Chris do it for them?) I was hoping Spink would split the book hammered/milled.
  19. Welcome to the forum! Santa managed to bring me Spink 2014, so I've had lots to read. A number of changes in presentation this year and the promise of 2 volumes next year. A few day's break before the New Year festivities now I got my copy as well How is the book going to be split...hammered/milled? If CCGB can eventually cover milled it will be interesting.
  20. Excellent news Chris. I think you have it right with varieties. Covering George 111 seems a great idea...maybe George 11 in 2015
  21. Well done Richard You're job is a vocation. I hope you get some Charlie orientated stuff.
  22. Lets not go there again Regardless of belief my youngest has just returned from taking our dog for a swim in the river and commented that everyone she met were so nice and friendly.
  23. I tend to talk to myself. My girls arrived home at 1am this morning and knocked up a curry(I wonder where they got that from?) Kitchen is a midden.
  24. After stuffing the bird I'm ready for a good day.Mrs Peter is still in bed and doesn't realise what she has bought me yet. Spink 2014 arrived yesterday as well as an Ed1 1d and a cut half. Mother Peter needs picking up soon so the malt will be tonight. Everyone have a great day and don't be shy to post. ENJOY YOU OLD BUGGERS.
  25. Off topic? us!!! I'm still playing catch up with farthing varieties from ebay and fairs. I've got a few non UK dealers who use Krause(sometimes Spink) I'm looking forward to a good 2014 and wish the same for everyone.
