  4. Long may it be. The ham fisted cowboys can keep their short history.
  5. I must say my interest in decimal coins is increasing . To an extent of Liz 11 1d's
  6. It frightens me that Rswipes will pay a premium for this crap.
  7. Dreadful really I showed the owner at the Midland who accused my Colin Cooke collection farthing of having verdigris. I still can't see it. The bloke is a knob or blind. These idiots grade coins to suit THEM. Not interested in these cowboys.
  8. I reckon on a predecimal grading service would wipe out TPG's Some of the rubbish out there is appalling. Not interested in modern crap from the US.
  9. Put a picture up and if it is good we have many dealers who will grade it FOC

WTF grand ma sucking eggs? Absolute dicks. I will NEVER slab a coin. If you don't know what you have maybe you are in the wrong game.
  16. If you factor in 3 hrs each way a tank full of fuel and the lottery of an auction (if I like it I assume others will) I prefer a fair. I've only done the Midland and Wakefield (plus a one off at Norwich....I came home with a 1760 holster pistol bought from Mr Vosper.
  17. that's probably the problem! They do say books make instant experts! Oh, dear! Stewie You can say that again.
  18. Don't get too hammered Clive.
  19. Colin I agree we should all move on BUT I've gone back to 7 due to crap later systems. I will sit and wait but 7 still is OK for me. I was brought up on supercalc and a multi £ contract had 1 computer to share. Now even the site mice have pooters.
  20. SJI Welcome Bag them up in £10 face and sell them for £20. Don't forget the 1/2d's fit into 2p slot machines. 480 1/2ds to £1 50 2ps to £1 Not that I would consider this.
  21. Like you Hazelman I started by amassing everything. I still collect everything but my standards have risen. Sometimes when I get my coins out I will cherry pick ones to sell (apart from my farthings) Date runs are a thing of the past. Eye appeal is important to me.
  22. Ever tripped on acid PMSL.
  23. Got mine off ebay. Cheap as chips.
