  1. Plain as day. Below is a normal 6, which doesn't have straight fatures.
  2. I totally see a 5 over a mangled 6.
  3. That's just the sound of Pete re-Lustre-ing some old pennies
  4. Oh, those smart white ones that do up at the back ? I find they fit so well!
  5. It's not the medication, it's the new glasses.
  6. Nothing to see here move along ....
  7. Boat? where??? oh.
  8. Stunning find! I still haven't found a milled Lizzie either - or any gold at all for that matter. One day I hope to get lucky on both...
  9. What does she look like with a real photograph, I bet the uneven toning is strangely pleasant!
  10. With 23 sold, sadly it would appear so
  11. I find it a very easy system to work with
  12. or is this the right one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1887-Queen-Victoria-Jubilee-Medal-44mm/132525469230?hash=item1edb222e2e:g:aPEAAOSwd-pamxds
  13. Agreed. Changechecker .. misleading much - seems like only 12500 ever minted, but actually ... read it and don't get bent over . https://www.changechecker.org/2018/02/14/the-uks-brand-new-5-coin-is-the-rarest-of-them-all/ Horrid coin anyway so I have my bargepole handy.
  14. Interesting possibly non-factoid in the Sun ... re: New 10p's - Some 2.6million coins have been minted – 100,000 for each letter. If thats it for mintage, they're going to be collectable, but maybe thats a production figure to date... in which case expect more.
  15. I've seen a garage floor done like that - and the RM have a mini covered in pennies too (bet that doesn't get down the road now!).
  16. 2.804 pence minus commision fees. (less than 3p)
  17. I agree, I'd like to see one in the hand, but I won't buy one because I don't want to fuel the market for fakes. I had suspicions about one a while ago, but it seems that the varieties are starting to be produced nearly as fast as the royal mint is knocking out more "collectables". It's quite worrying to say the least.
  18. Jeez. So 4 Beatrix potters, 5 RAF and 26 10p's and it's only March. Then we have a royal wedding, probably a bunch of other £5 ones to be decided and some later year 50p's for another random person/event Royally Minting It....
  19. While not breaching anything (yet), this listing for an 1850 shilling (copy) caught my eye. I'm sure it won't be long before these start turning up without the Copy/replica/filler/restrike labels. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1850-Victoria-Retro-Shilling-Ideal-Gap-Filler-Exact-same-size-as-original/282862667265?hash=item41dbedc601:g:w78AAOSw38BacBKR I'll let you all be the judge of it's qualities.
  20. Do you use lights or natural light for photography? I'm having an absolute mare trying to image the churchill crowns to get a picture that shows what I can see in the hand, and so far artifical light really isn't doing it. Given the recent snow, as I was housebound I tried again, but had so much white natural light that it still didn't give a true impression. The quest continues...
  21. @Nonmortuus from your collection link, your 1897 Half Crown is gorgeous!
  22. I sold off 9 or 10 spare wrestling ones, but if I come across another I'll know who needs it
  23. I think I'l try getting a set the hard way, I managed all the olympics although I paid for a couple of "better" ones.
