  1. I've added it as a sub-variety of reverse G. It's the first time I've updated the site for a few years.

  2. I agree Richard. Hopefully the five pennies that you mention go to penny collectors on this forum! Overall I am very pleased with the total. Shame the 1954 didn't sell like Del Boys Watch!

  3. I'm sure they'll be on the website by tomorrow, but I'll probably be noting the prices realised.

  4. Wow! Did you win anything Richard? I won the 1862 8/6 as an upgrade, MS62 for a bit over 2k I thought very reasonable (and I know what you paid for yours Richard, jammy ***). Also the MS 63 F9 mule at a bit over 4K total, again an upgrade and one of the ones where the auctioneer missed the flurry of bids that came in after mine online, but decided that my bid was the winner as she had set a precedent with earlier lots. If it stands, a decent coin with fewer marks than the MS64 and £1500 less than the comparable Cope example. Although prices were high overall, some of the ‘commoner’ rarities were undervalued, the ones you mentioned and I think the F103 and F69 and F28. Jerry

  7. Yeah, as much as I'd like a one-stop book that covers it all, specialist books win out every time. Unfortunately, there are few (let alone in print) specialist books on many British Commonwealth countries.

  8. I concur, this is a basic and gives a general heading or steerage. Unfortunately, as Mr. T I am nearly certain would agree, most knowledge of colonial comes from experience and following the market, auctions, etc.

  9. Looks like it - the prices at https://www.abebooks.co.uk/book-search/title/spinks-catalogue-british-colonial/ are higher.

  10. Sure - and “condition rarity” of currency coins can (as you point out) be a big factor. But rarity is only half of the supply and demand equation by which prices are formed.
