  1. The best one I've seen is Victoria on her potty!

  2. I started my coin-collecting journey about 4 or 5 years ago and I reached out to Chris for advice on key decimal coins to go for. Chris suggested the following coins: 1983 2p 'New Pence' Mule 1994 £2 Gold Bank of England Mule 1999 £2 Technology (only in uncirculated condition) 2011 Olympics Aquatics withdrawn Lines on Face I'm absolutely delighted to have finally got all of these! It took me several years but got the job done when I managed to come across 1999 Technology Coin graded by NGC MS63.

  3. Hi. Just wondered if anyone can help me. I am sorting through some coins for my wife, given to her by her grandfather. I have come across a One Penny coin from 1882 (Queen Victoria's era), as it states Victoria on the coin, however it doesn't have her head on it. Instead it has a man's head which I believe to be (possibly) King Edward VII. Can anyone shed any light on why this? Surely it should have her head on it, unless it's a misprint? Thank you.

  4. That would be me then! That's a nicely engraved "love token" Do you want to sell it? Peck is that your "potty" penny? Here's the nearest one I have on a 1827 half paenny ...

  5. Without meaning to be rude Stevo, but why do you want to slab it? (You might have noticed that slabbing isn't that popular in the UK) Careful handling will preserve it fine without a slab (and you'll be able to insect it better). I keep my Charles I shillings in a tray in a cabinet so I can pick them up and look at them when I wish. Though a nice coin, it's not so valuable that it needs preservation. And if to sell, the cost of slabbing would have to be offset against the gain you'd make selling it raw. Just curious. T

  8. This is one of those varietals that seems once discovered that people look for it and find more and more. I love 20th C. proof halfcrowns but haven't had interest in picking one up at the prices they supposedly have gone for.

  9. Its just an 1882 penny that's been hand engraved, but I must say quite professionally done.

  12. Definitely need to get myself a detector too! I seem to be missing out on all the excitement. What could be better than stretching the legs in the countryside and hunting for coins!
