The trouble is Ebay worldwide shift more coins (and crap) than all the rest of the dealers on the planet.The Yanks have actual price lists and try to reach exact grading....and we still operate "cash is king" at fairs,auctions and dealers.I did witness an American trying to insist a dealer at the Midland accepts his offer based on his price list....he didn't

You always get the odd one trying it on. It's normally "Spink price is only blah blah". I often feel like giving them a Brick Top line from Snatch in reply "When I throw a dog a bone I don't wanna know if it likes the taste or not"

Cheers for that. Some nice looking pennies. I could end up remortgaging my house. The last time i did that i ended up with a rather large aquarium.

Just spent some time going through all the pennies listed and, with one exception, found that only the copper coins really interest me this time around. The top grade early Victorian bronze seems rather sparse, unfortunately.

I'm saving a lot of money this month since I got blown away on the few Bentley sovs I thought a bit interesting.

I guess time to settle back and REALLY be patient ala a trap door spider.

I had a card put through the letterbox yesterday saying a parcel needed collecting from the post office with a fee to pay. I sent the wife hot footing down there to collect it as I couldn't think what it could be. It turned out to be their catalogue with no postage on it. Don't mind getting a free copy but don't expect to have to pay £2.40 for it.

I like to see London coins slightly over grade (IMO)there will be a couple of bids banging twice estimate(don't worry 1D boys or you silver slappers) and if I don't get what I want I will take a wheelbarrow to the next Midland.

It is part of the fun and the chase.Last November I left 5 bids on Ebay coins whilst visiting the Midland (spent a wee bit too much there)

I didn't attend this time or leave any proxy bids either. Saving for a couple of nice acquisitions in the coming week or so, hopefully.
