The other 1 is charles I shilling tower mint I believe 1639-40 . I am sure i'll be corrected if I am wrong Although if those are sixpences below it might be a half crown or were shillings massive in 1639?

Both pictures were taken by myself from 2 coins from 1967 bank rolls at the same time one after the other all the distances are exactly the same

Really he only had to look at the B in Britt and see how long the bottom serif is the upward curve would start much later nearly where the right leg of the R starts to curve?

I was always of the understanding that cameo proofs were those which had polished fields but the subjects remained un touched to give that effect of a cameo look. Frosted cameo is another thing entirely .I believe a special coating is a applied to give that finish. In contrast to Proof-like which both the subject and the field are struck on highly polished dies. I have 2 coins with one side with blazing mirror fields and the reverse just normal. A 1953 canadian dollar and a 1940 rupee. Impossible to picture post cannot get the mirror effect to show How I want it. Very frustrating. So are the normal answers "probably just an early strike" errm no the obverse and reverse are chalk and cheese. I am certain they are struck from proof dies weather by accident or otherwise. Natural lustre is completely different to a mirrored finish. One looks like your looking at a reflection of a hazy sun shining on the coin giving it that cartwheel effect when spinning the coin. Mirror is like looking through a pool of water it reflects everything even my ugly mug when tying to photograph it lol

Evening gang take a squiz at this shilling and tell me what could be printed here. I am not sure which way it was written but turning the truncation 90 degrees clockwise it looks like it says F.15 y,V or X 8 SB. there could be other symbols above the truncation but I cannot make them out so I have left them for now It's either a B. of one of those old fashioned £ signs but it's clear as day. Anyone ?

I found this really crude blender program but I think it shows enough to pretty much confirm that this 1826 is 6/0 Obviously not exactly identical different wears and such I just wanted to put an 0 and 6 together to get a read on how they looked and the 2 parts of the coin where the gaps appear are pretty much spot on. thoughts?

As we have seen in the news over recent months with all the can't touch me actors and film producers we live in a time of name and shame. Ebay are breaking the law they are breaking trade practice definitions they are certainly not holding to any ethics mandates. Known fraudsters are allowed to continue to ply their trade unhindered and worse than that ebay covers their scams with 100% feedback protection. Should ebay be brought before an ethics committee? too bloody right they should.! Should ebay be brought before the trades and commerce ombudsman too bloody right they should.! . The thing about staying silent the problem only compounds itself. Ebay have a high profile on British TV yet they have the practices of a bootsale outfit. They have had a good run and if they are not willing to protect the people that for the most part pay their wages then they must go. It will fire a shot across the bows of any similar organisations who think they can do the same. If Ebay can be taken down then anyone can. I feel that this action will restore the faith in online purchasing as a whole and kick this industries butt into line. But it needs a heavy player(s) to carry it off. Where do you start?
