There are a few missing numbers that I have seen that are not on that list Die number 3 and die number 67
-
A lot of the so called coin dealers are merely drop shippers on small margins playing the bulk order roulette wheel. They source either real or replica's get a bulk deal and send the info on to the shippers they are only middle men really nothing more. I bought you a drink but as you couldn't be here I drank it

"Sold without guarantee of authenticity" Hardly surprising seeing as it is fake cast garbage from a monarch who reigned for 6 years and died @ the age of 15. Didn't know he died of old age and a bald head. reigned 1547-1553 R.I.P my lord Oh he made a typo i'll forgive him that but surely to go he must know the difference between a crown and a florin? Perhaps it's Edward VII+3/4

Max die number was 130 as for individuals numbers no idea . scratch that this should sort you out http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/dieno.html

I never really read that far in to the later bronze issues even less so the decimals. Who would of thought there are 4 reverse types for 1971 2 pence. I guess I need to rethink on these such is the public's fascination with decimal coinage. Only takes a whiff of fake news and suddenly coins come from obscurity to fame and fortune

yes it's raised but very subtle be too much of a coincidence to have a flaw that looks like a finger in exactly the same place the book reports it to be. It doesn't show any pictures it just said a few specimens have been found to exhibit bladi bladi . I was looking at the plumes thinking one of those was a finger. It might well be still until we know where its situated.lol I re read it again that is not the finger flaw it comes of the 9th helmet plume back from the front there is a protrusion that is Finger like shaped

ok come on fess up who stole my bloody sixpence. I came here read the threads and missed the auction lols. 1887 sixpence wreath in about g/f possible overdate on 2nd 8 £2.90 how rude

I sometimes wonder why I buy books. I must remember the premise is to read them lol. Fumbling through David's book looking at the Pennies of 1966 and the minor varieties. Specifically the one akin to the 1946 dot/die flaw penny. 1966 Finger /die flaw @ around the 9th plume from the front so anti-clockwise. Is this it?

same for their take on die cracks and broken letters. They pay huge amounts things like that. Where we just disregard it

yes mate J.E.B> on truncation they always sell well in any grade
-
That is the other side of the coin right there. Why do people think because someone in a building gave an opinion on his/her coins grade and then put it in a nice plastic coffin it somehow magically soared in value to 500 x book price?. TPG if anything only confirms what you already know yourself. That fool and I have to say fool becuase surely to god he knew that as soon as he posted the parcel he was losing money?

yup totally agree the scammers have scared off buyers from ebay. Nobody knows where they stand causing the effect of everyone wanting something for nothing. I think as a trade coin selling is going to be a real hard area for anyone new entering the fray . I would say almost impossible to survive. All I can think is apart from the few good guys the rest are bashing old ladies over the head and giving them pittance for what their old hubby's collection is worth. I remember once just for the crack to show how greedy some are I priced up all my coins that I knew were UNC in VF and said to the guy can you give me half the listed book price for VF and i'll be happy. Now really and truthfully he should of bit my arm off there and then. But no he did what the majority do. Spin some BS story about the coins being polished or some nonsense he read on the back of a toilet door and said they was basically scrap value but out of the goodness of his heart he would give me 5x the silver price. As if I was going to champion his generosity. Of course I said politely shove it I know for a fact if I went to most dealers with my coins only a handful would fair trade me. The rest I would end up leaving before I punched(not a violent man in any extreme but I rise to the call if need be ) the blaggards lol.

Yes I am probably suffering due to not enough light . That picture was in my room with the lights off and one small clip on spotlight on my pc desk shining down on my knees lol . So it probably struggled for detail. Normally light isn't so much a problem its the pics with more than one coin and all the reflections and shooting through plastic pages. I just hate to list coins I know are 10x better than the pics show. But sometimes the coins behave and still still for a few seconds

That'll be the ole lady moving it to dust the dust that isn't there again lol. How do I attach a larger lens? I see people talking F22 numbers mine only has F3.0 or F7.7 Which at the moment is on F7.7 and 0.3" . What about the picture size If I set it @ min setting the pictures are tiny. I normally set it on 3m it all looks fine until cropping then the detail just isn't what I want. See this what I get. and for coin pics it aint good enough. Pulling my hair out lol

Its a 2001 Somali republic $500 Coin which I don't have any record of ever existing weather its real or not I wouldn't have a clue. I would ask the seller

I wanted to comment on a coin I saw on there but I might be way off base and don't want to upset anyone. But there is a guy who has a 1930 wreath crown no provenance but everyone is as you would remarking on how lovely it is. But here's the thing these wreaths are proof coins and every detail is perfection. I wouldn't expect a genuine wreath to have design elements not struck up or parts of the design missing. It looks from the picture suspect to me. but then again I suspect everything anyway lol. Like one side of the rim is twice as wide with rim line running around it and excess metal splodges. I hope for his sake it's just a poor picture.

No No not so mon amis I re-joined my old group "Pre-decimal British coins buy and trade only" (no decimal coins allowed ) . Admin is Peter MCclelland he has his own website Britannia coins
-
No its last 10 seconds no counts after that then they just type end . lol you couldnt type quick enough with the slight delay in internet timing . Actually they could put no more bids once it gets to ten seconds a kind of cool down would stop all snipers those who type before would be fastest finger first same as all auctions unless it is still within your price range. But I doubt anything goes that cheap and probably close to it's real value in all honesty.

That's because canadian customs are OTT rather like Australia. they open every package and do not handle goods with any care.
