  2. Fantastic job and hat off to you Brian you have a lot more patience than me and a good eye. Pete.
  3. Think the phrase is................ Tighter than paint Anyway sure you have sent me a nice christmas present so thank you in advance
  4. Yes a believe there is a couple of people from the west midlands with short arms and deep pockets
  5. Its just daft ,although finding a really worn 1967 Penny is probably really hard As far as your coins Jon they are spot on so not for you to slab and sell them as RANG
  6. Going back to the Mint Toned coins as cant find any information elsewhere ,does anyone know why the 1934 was Mint Toned please ?. Pete.
  7. I have just had a look at my own both 14 & 15 leaves and numerous pictures of others. IMO for what its worth i just think it is normal
  8. Yes and thats what i meant by should of read the description The picture of the slab didnt mention 2 MM. I assume as you have not posted before the coin was yours and i apologise.
  9. As you say Paul its a common year but you dont need to look for a better one its quality
  10. From the picture could it not be a flaw or possibly a crack that appears to run to the rim ?.
  11. Teach me to read the description properly ,the low tide through me rather than 2 MM
  12. Think as far as collecting coins goes this is probably the daftest thing i have ever heard that people will pay more for the lowest grade possible
  13. Yes Paul maybe Just been talking to someone who told me there are collectors in America who will pay a premium for the lowest graded if really RANG
  14. This seller is starting to get on my nerves again with the prices . He has a standard 1895 that is worth £100 maximum currently at £320 with twenty three bids . Good luck to him but cant understand people bidding so high on a MS 64 common coin.
  15. A few i have had a while and decided to get graded and put away for Freya as dont think i will find any much better that are problem free. BP1872Ab 1908 F164A 1909 Dot Pete.
  16. Thanks Matt. I have just picked up the freeman book who explains in detail.........i should of looked before posting He says it was to keep the colour of bronze due to a tin reduction . However the ones i have that are not mint toned are closer to the colour bronze than the Black/purple ones. Pete.
  17. Can anyone help me please. The hypo solution used on some pennies i have a question. I know what it is and the years etc. What i would like to know is why it was used
  18. Behave and get your head down. You wanted to sell them and offers were made ,you did not reply. Surely if you ask a question and someone takes the time to reply it would of been manners to aknowledge them weather you liked the answer or not . The forum will never be the same without you
  19. I didnt check but am really suprised as to the cgs grade Strict grading
  20. Just spoke to Dave if you have not got the list had a few problems with some connections coming back. Anyway if your after anything PHONE him as he is in Alternatively send your email and ask for a regular list Be lucky. Pete.
