  1. I dont think there is as many penny collectors as we think for the varieties and does not seem many new collectors coming on the forum or from what i am told going to shows. Same auction a scabby 1860 T for £100 that was over £500 a few years ago at LCA ,more turn up and people have one prices come down IMO. I think the F32 went for about £80 i realise it wasnt very good but again i would think a few years ago it would of gone for more than that.
  2. Me and Michael must of been typing at the same time but atleast now you have got your answer twice
  3. Hi Chris. Dont be taken in by all the hype and crap on ebay. All the Two pence up to 1982 say NEW PENCE. This means there are millions of them and not worth anything. When the NEW PENCE was dropped in 1982 it was replaced by TWO PENCE some were produced in sets with 1983 on one side and NEW PENCE on the other. This is the one that is rare and sells for big money known as a mule with a different Obverse and Reverse (Heads and Tails)Sorry if its not what you wanted to hear. Keep smiling. Pete.
  4. Think its all about if we want something we buy it and if we are happy it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks. There is no need for anyone to defend what they have bought (apart from to the wife) its upto them. I have paid more for things i want ,not just coins but allsorts of daft things and buy them for ME. We are collectors so fill gaps ,some gaps are worth more to us than someone else. Well bought Jaggy ....If your happy thats all that matters
  5. Just been looking at the results....Will be some happy vendors again
  6. NHS please have a rethink I was taken into hospital by ambulance again and was in for a few days and cannot thank the NHS enough once again. However when i was discharged they gave me a carrier bag of medication...... Asking the nurse were did i pay for it all ,she just told me it was free for everyone that is discharged. They are giving thousands of £s worth of drugs to people like myself everyday and IMO should charge everyone that pays for a prescription. All the staff were brilliant and feel £millions could be put quite easily back into the system. Pete.
  7. Nice touch by someone and HAT OFF to you
  8. Take your time kieran.....The people posting the pictures know what to buy and would not like you to just start buying Rang
  9. Yes Hat off for posting the pictures...its making me want to start buying a few
  10. I bet you have a couple Rob
  11. Satin is a brochure on scarce victorian early bun pennies. The F15 retouches start at Satin 16-20 which is why without a picture you were better looking on Richards site. They are differences made to F15 and covered in more depth by Gouby. Look on Richards site at the retouches / transitional dies. More for the Anorak collector
  12. Worth a picture Mick. Will be Satin 16 but varieties with the colons and Bun recut. Or look on Richards site for the different stages
  13. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Copper-King-George-III-1797-Cartwheel-Penny-Excellent-Condition/273214418242?hash=item3f9cd92d42:g:tagAAOSwVL5a-rSi Wind your neck in
  14. Yes they were all genuine as i bought eleven and were spot on although all slightly different including Normal ,DFI and Broken stem , i looked carefully at them all before i picked out the best and sent some for grading. They were all found in one bag with some 1834 farthings of which i also bought a few and they were slightly different from each other REV A ,REV B , and W.w.
  15. I dont know anything about them but looks ok to me in that it does not look fake Also it looks like a red riley coin as the picture is the same ?.
  16. If you log in....Click on Lots archive.... Type in the search box (top right)....Colin Adams....Two options come up highlighted .... click on penny sale.. A lot easier than trying to fill in all the daft boxes
  17. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1858-retro-souvenir-Penny-exact-same-size-weight-as-a-Penny/282961077718?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 Seller lists as a fake ,but as i have said before as soon as they start toning them beginners will buy them All the dates and the bronze aswell.
  18. Yes....Thats what i mean about all you can see the 4
  19. Nothing wrong with having a gap Mike, there is no way i would pay so much for that especially being No 4
  20. Oh Hello.......... Come on Peter i am sure you can do better than that.
  21. Online for anyone interested
  22. I dont think they would have a value to be worth putting in an auction as a single item ,unless you try it on ebay. You may find someone is prepared to pay a premium for it The premium though could be cancelled out if you deduct 25% in Coin Auction fees from the price someone would pay and then you have a few quid for one item to post it to the Auction house.
  23. Scarcer ...So even more so above VF I also dont think many Dealers or Auction houses check for them
