I would have a think first and would send it back if its not right there is know confrontation if you bought it from a dealer .Your collecting interest may change in the future and might then have to take a loss ,should you sell it. There are plenty coins to choose from ,unless its a scarce one and better to have ones your happy with. If you are happy though it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks -

They are not bothered about the experts just selling them to the masses and new collectors , will only get better in time just like everything else that is faked or copied.

I believe he goes to most shows and auctions ,so hat off to him as obviously keeps busy A dealer was telling me he used to just buy foreign ,but when he saw how much some other coins were going for started looking at everything.
-
In fairness to the seller Mike ,when i bought one from him i did send a message asking the same as the coin was a few quid.Although i could not understand his reply he did send it Special delivery and i did receive it the day after .
-
I have only bought one Mike and was quite surprised when it arrived..........I must of paid to much for it

Probably be up for sale again next week Mike with his other account....Seller who drives me nuts . For that reason i would not be sure the final amount will be genuine.

It must be love Its not like that in.....Our house. -
I have a lot of the Joseph moore model pennies Larry including some of the scarcer types ,not the ones as you mention above. They are much harder to find in top grade than people think as were not put away as coins may of been .The models are also covered in a book called simply.... Bimetallic Model Penny (the author is a forum member ).A couple of collectors on here who collect the Lauer and cardboard coins although they very rarely post , now you have started a thread hopefully they will contribute to it Pete.

Welcome to the forum Madhouse. I dont know where you live but probably the best thing to do would be a good coin show. Lots of coins to look at in hand and reputable dealers who can point you in the right direction. One in both Wakefield and Birmingham every month and a big one in York tomorrow and Saturday. -
Boxers punch bag They dont hit you back Jerry and looking at him he couldnt knock the top off a rice pudding. Low life and ebay should ban him straight away.
