As daft as it seems some technology with regards microscopes and lighting costs a lot more than £14. What i was trying to say..... if you want to have an opinion a coin might be worth sending it might resolve a thought. If you dont and leave the question wide open , well not a problem just an idea and leave it I dont think the H is missing but if the guy who has it ,spend £14 and find out Alfnail has the best microscope for coins i have seen but was slightly over £14

Yes i agree but somtimes easier to say if you want to be sure send it to someone who will look properley. For the sake of spending £14 easy to find out and if you dont want to risk that much you know its not ok.

Yes i may be shot down in flames Ones like this ...if your not sure.... send to cgs and for £13.75 get an independent opinion. People on here can only look at a picture rather than the coin going under a microscope /Light and three people looking in hand. It might take a couple of months Otherwise you will keep looking and wont get the attribution. £13.75 is not a lot to spend and if you dont think it is ok just keep it , i assume you are not sure or wouldnt of posted. Plus if its OK i will buy it

Fantastic coin prax and one to keep Fortunately the coins i looked at were not mine Vicky but ones i looked at. A couple are with dealers and dont think it would be fair on the dealer to bring to everyones attention on an open forum. What i would suggest is check before you buy as always and now i will double check. I only send coins to get slabbed to try and ensure they are problem free (not a guarentee but gives me peace of mind) if they dont reject any then the grade is not always the issue.

Yes i agree ,why its a forum would like to see any posts rather than nothing. Without people posting it would no longer be a forum. We may aswell just email each other

A 1903 open 3 in unc Hope you still have a picture Prax. The one Richard has is quality but never seen one ln that kind of grade. Like alot of the varieties i am sure they will turn up in high grades.

Spent the last twenty minutes looking at NGC pennies...... yes i need to get out more. Can anyone find one that is mentioned on the slab as i have just found a few that are live verd ?.

Vicky knows his silver so that will be spot on dippy dip and no need to send it.

Another thread has brought this to my attention. Has anyone got a penny thats got VERD / CORROSION mentioned on an NCG slab ? I have found dozens that have obvious problems on photos but never seen any mentioned on the slab. Fully aware they just grade /give a number and seen a lot of problems that buyers seem happy with As they dont however reject them wanted to see any faults. Apart from ANACS dont see any grader who gives me confidence in sending pennies ?. A coin that has verd /corrosion and slabbed will get worse it cant improve and should be mentioned....otherwise why send it One coin that has verd/corrosion/carbon spot in fact anything.....please post.... would love to see one. Please post as not got any confidence in sending any for peace of mind and have seen faults on a lot. Just one does not seem much , but as a betting man you will struggle. Or is it they dont bother and just give them a grade ?. Pete.

A lot more people will give you a better opinion but the obverse UNC the reverse less so A / unc

The 20p undated i have one i bought with a few others a couple of years ago its in a cgs slab but GEF. They dont interest me and happy to get rid of it. If anyone wants one PM me £50 inc postage

Vicky is the expert on these so 55 and dippity dip sounds spot on .

Not over the top for a scarcer date. I can understand streaky lustre on some dates and the fact this has it on both sides. It was more just showing on one side so much on the previous posts that seemed strange. They are not the best looking coins.

Its not far off Dan probably closer to EF you should be able to get a really nice one with full lustre for about £40- £60, If thats a bit expensive the proofs of the same year are cheaper.
