  1. The first picture of the obverse is definitely better focused, but once in focus I think they look good! My cushion was beige
  2. Looking good Hazelman. Show us the reverse!
  3. That's how I go about it too, but wrapped in a tea towel first. Limits the explosive radius
  4. A extra little bonus then, always nice when that happens. Good spot Nick
  5. Not bad from a scrap find! Did you pay much on the lot?
  6. That was a nice example Prax, good buy. A little jealous
  7. Forgetting about the missing waves for a second, that's a lovely 1929
  8. You can use any application that has a transparency setting, just make one picture a little more transparent so you can see the background image and overlay it. If no-one has done one by tomorrow I'll mock one up but I have meetings for the rest of the day and don't have any app like that at home.
  9. They just look thicker and thinner to me, but the same 3. Not just different strikes in a die's life?

    Silver 2p

    What I was thinking
  11. It's normal that some coins have a small amount of rotation, so it's not fake in that regard. Looks good to me.
  12. Only got mine the other day due to international shipping and the lax attitude of the people in this country Interested to know what others think to the 3 pictures I have, first mine, second CC's and lastly Steve's... I personally prefer mine but I took it so it's biased of course.
  13. Nice! I missed that post, good find. Here's the filled 1920 I was on about. Not a bad grade either.
  14. What a nice find Richard. Thanks for sharing.. although it did make me a little jealous
  15. Yes he certainly knows his pennies and will definitely know that it's not a high tide. He's relying on the slab description here, which is coincidentally in focus in the photos..
  16. What's his team name Pete?
  17. HA! I wouldn't put a bet down if it was 50/1 let alone 8/1.
  18. I was reading the stats in the email, so England are joint top in the predictions to win it!? Those who chose them to win are going to be gutted when they get kicked out of the last 16
  19. Ok.... Who's team name is megadong?
  20. Haha almost as bad as the enameled '1933' and the excellent description that it comes with
  21. Some great buys Jerry, there's currently an 1894 that's not as good as that up on the bay and has already surpassed £50 so good spot.
  22. Indeed very expensive, I've wanted a couple of their coins before but would never pay the prices they're asking for. I wonder what makes up the bulk of their sales if the higher end pieces cost so much, they've obviously got the capital to have so much in stock...

    Mr

Can you post a picture of the other side?
  24. Worth a shot That second one is handmade
  25. Hi and welcome. The value is about 50p or around that. It's called a retained rim cud, which happens when part of the die breaks off during striking.
