  1. Indeed there is, just not the one from the last LCA auction
  2. As far as I'm concerned, that's neither matt nor proof. This is a matt proof 1908 (and looks like one too);
  3. Well, I assume a typo as it's now without bids.
  4. Some of the bids are starting to be added to the site now. I have one question, why has lot 140 been sold already? Or is it a typo?
  5. No 1904s Pete. I have a 4 to tooth but it's not as slanted as Steve's one. Somewhere between his and the normal variety
  6. There's a thread in the forum about it, more than just the 2 types where the four is placed
  7. Re-opened and locked.
  8. Yeah I've heard, but I'm in no rush anyway. By the looks of it the service seems to allow pictures and dimensions to be sent so I'll probably send in as much information and photos as I can then see what they say, before posting them the actual coin
  9. Many thanks Rob.
  10. Can anyone post the address for sending coins for verification/more information to the RM please? Also if anything else is needed in a cover letter like a reference etc. Thanks
  11. The joy of coin collecting Dave, save up a bit of money and keep on searching, you'll find one eventually. The longer it takes the more you'll appreciate it when you finally get it
  12. Dave I moved the topic to the decimal coins section, as it's a decimal question. Have a look there
  13. Hi Dave, do you mean the 4 UK £1 coins? i.e Oak & rose, leek & daffodil etc. I'm not sure on the capital city ones? Also don't be embarrassed about budget, it's always in state a flux. You shouldn't have to fork out much for them either.
  14. Oh, and welcome to the forum
  15. If they're of a good quality, don't sell them on eBay. Send them to an auction house. If you are dead set on going through eBay, sell them individually.
  16. Agreed, however tell that to whoever bought the 1934 from the Workman collection for £500
  17. That is rather appealing. Plus when you put the pictures like that, it looks like Georgie likes it too.
  18. Struck, then struck again
  19. That's not bad, as long as 90% of them aren't Elizabeth II coins. Will give you something to do for quite a while. I wouldn't hesitate to pay 50 odd quid for 15kg of coins.
  20. Thanks for sharing Mike, bids will be sent tomorrow then!
  21. Still nice Jerry, the patina looks good on the F77. Although I thought buying coins to upgrade later was a no-no
  22. £8 on eBay. Not sure I'll actually find a better one, definitely not for that price.
  23. I will take it Rob picture pending if you can send me a photo or put one up here
