  1. FAKE!!!
  2. I think they might be loosely described as holiday loose change TBH
  3. Sorry there I think £5-£10 for a george VI halfpenny is too much , I would say they are worth a max of £5 with a minimum of £2 , unc grade of course
  4. just picked this up , found it really hard to find and am well chuffed (As they say up north)
  5. Well she does have a great pair of threpenny bits
  6. more fake than genuine george 111 silver nor surpriseing as the first thing folks would do when they realised they had a coin they could not pass on was bin it .
  7. you could grade the reverse fine because it has problems but the obverse is much better
  8. "tower mint " sounds like a made up name in order to fool consumers into thinking they are buying official royal mint products "London mint office" used the same evil trick more recently
  9. sounds EXACTLY like the general public lol
  10. You will be getting artificially worn down examples of this coin offered to you soon dealers just like the 1869 pennies. Not convincing like this (but strangely enjoyable) williams bust looks all wrong
  11. I dont remember it being much more expensive , the 1972 one , not even sure if it had the crown in it I know the 1977 one did The 1970 set was very , very popular and indeed the reason proof sets were issued for every year till now ,
  12. like most royal mint tat over the last 40 years
  13. pretty sure that coin would get a £300 bid off some numptie on ebay as its a 2017 coin as well . They are incapable of thinking forward to next year when there will be hundreds of millions in circulation
  14. Not anysort of expert on these but looks gen - if its a fake its a really good one
  15. I love the way basils whole life is given over to pleaseing his trouble and strife Best episode the one with mrs richards the deaf woman , when he wins the £75 on the horse and ends up having to give it away to the deaf old bat
  16. nothing really exciteing here, love the william iii halfpenny obv . George III halfpennies are non regal - Is one dated 1776? Soho stuff is very common 1722 halfpennies are scarcer
  17. looking forward to the 1700s farthings and halfpennies . While i would love to give advice on the coins you have scaned as they are mostly silver i feel i should pass it on to someone else as this really is not my field . Ps if you ever want to scrap the 1905 halfcrown , it will find a happy new home at my adress .
  18. Coin collectors are by definition coin collectors . Too my mind it does not matter the coins value either , while a collector with a collection worth £150 is still a collector he should not be derided and abused JUST because his collection is of little interest to a serious collector . Out of little acorns mighty oaks grow . PS I hope this arguement stops here now
  19. I think because the pound is such a popular coin they had to make a huge amount for as soon as possable , they just needed a date so chose 2016 - they will always be very common like 1983 pound coins
