  1. Not anysort of expert on these but looks gen - if its a fake its a really good one
  2. I love the way basils whole life is given over to pleaseing his trouble and strife Best episode the one with mrs richards the deaf woman , when he wins the £75 on the horse and ends up having to give it away to the deaf old bat
  3. nothing really exciteing here, love the william iii halfpenny obv . George III halfpennies are non regal - Is one dated 1776? Soho stuff is very common 1722 halfpennies are scarcer
  4. looking forward to the 1700s farthings and halfpennies . While i would love to give advice on the coins you have scaned as they are mostly silver i feel i should pass it on to someone else as this really is not my field . Ps if you ever want to scrap the 1905 halfcrown , it will find a happy new home at my adress .
  5. Coin collectors are by definition coin collectors . Too my mind it does not matter the coins value either , while a collector with a collection worth £150 is still a collector he should not be derided and abused JUST because his collection is of little interest to a serious collector . Out of little acorns mighty oaks grow . PS I hope this arguement stops here now
  6. I think because the pound is such a popular coin they had to make a huge amount for as soon as possable , they just needed a date so chose 2016 - they will always be very common like 1983 pound coins
  7. More rubbish in the sun this time in a headline - just wondering if it was a slow news day today , or are we getting tired of brexit and the election already? They should have worked out by now their story in a none story caused by the general public using liquid nitrogen gas to increase the value of a pound coin 10,000 times and maybe sell to some person with half a brain on craigslist or gumtree
  8. or probably none existant
  9. I would be less worried about the sellers - its any buyers that would worry me
  10. seen 50 or so - according to the internet a 2016/2017 mule exists - not found one yet . Some people are selling the ordinary 2016 coin or craigslist / gumtree for up to £500 claiming its rare - how a coin with a mintage of 1 .5 billion can be rare and worth £500 I don't know
  11. I would say if all the coins are the same that they have all been cleaned at some time so are worth very little , dont hold your breath for a great valuation from a dealer. What you see is not lustre that went years ago on this coin
  12. To be honest there are many pennies in this grade of this date - I find it hard to value at more than £3 . Dont rush to slab it!
  13. By the way Baldrick got plenty offers of cash down at the docks , mostly around sixpence
  14. doorstep salesmen? will not take no for an answer
  15. The strange thing is these pound coins have halved in price in the last three weeks or so for some strange reason (logic says they shound be holding their own at least and not diving in price) , unless there is some strange manipulation in price going on they are going up and down like a brides undergarments .
  16. I bet it was some scally from near birmingham
  17. jolly bad form this faking halfcrowns during the war
  18. All is really great for the new chancellor millions of five pound notes dissapearing from circulation with hundreds of thousands of people holding indistructable notes hopeing they might be worth more than face value in 10 000 years time due to an article in the daily mail . one born every minute
