Most of ebay is just jammed up with rubbish which people are not interested in . They do however seem interested in great rarities and high grade victoria and before coins . It really seems that coin collectors really have woken up and smelled the coffee as far as the dross thats on there and it's just a haunt for overpriced rubbish really now . Every so ofter when a decent estate collection turns up there is lots of interest .

A year or two b4 the survey it was in the national press about the H and KN penny , judgeing on the presses power these days to practically cause circulating coinage to dissapear in an instant , I would expect that to be the reason

I must admit a quick luck at the anne farthings on ebay , with about 96% being fake but not described as such . The funny thing is if you are honest and list your contemp . copy as such you are punished by it fetching £70 instead of the £250 you would have got listing it as genuine. With all the fakes on there I would never consider buying off ebay , it has to be at a coin fair - I do hope to buy a couple one day. As the bay is now the home of chancers and charlatans it may never get its reputation back

Anyone remember the coin weekly ? It was breifly around in a comic like format - I have never seen any copies for years

A lot of publishing companies failed about this time , the economic effects of the massive recession in the early nineties and a failure to invest in new tec to make the business more profitable . In the end it was lack of interest in the product from the public that caused the demise so we only have ourselves to blame

I might be slightly worried about a bend in the coin as well as wear on the coin is not even . Many seller don't tend to say if a coin is slightly bent

Well they are behind the woodwork and have got in above the front door , and now are there for good , I really dont want to kill them now , they might as well live uout the rest of their lives untoched if I spray them without any PPI I really am asking for trouble on a ladder with 500 angry wasps , I might as well commit hari kari. Anyone who wants the wasps nest in my porch at the moment is welcome to it - I have really had no trouble from them but I am now waiting for them all to die so I can spray the darn thing so they will not come back next year. For gods sake I cannot think of a usefull thing that wasps ever do at least spiders keep flies down By the way I have found a few dead and dieing ones aroung the last week or so does anyone know when it will be safe to spray the nest with insect / wasp repellant ? I had a really wonderfull view of the sunset from my bedroom of my new home last night and there were dozens of bats out feeding , lovely to see
