  1. there are a lot of things ebay could do better best one is the category tick boxes... would be a useful feature if it would let you tick multiple boxes so you can broaden the search to 2-3 areas at once
  2. yes but 1 example each of 5 dies is unrealistic. the rarity should be more common, we have 6 different examples here, anything with that sort of rarity is usually one one single die
  3. i checked it when i got it, for a good while. it has no dot. i posted those ones because the dot isn't in a set position, on those, by a good noticeable margin
  4. if there are 5 dies then there should be far more then just 5 and I have one above as well, (2nd one on this page), there should be many tens, if not over 100 examples.
  5. are they? oh hold on look what i found
  6. that's the problem with this date, the stops are all over the place.
  7. I dont appear to have one of these... got almost every other kind of 1699

    Coin of Nero

there were fakes of roman coins made through the ages, even during the period. i got this Otho in a bulk buy, which contained late 18th century coins for example
  9. few decent reverse die identifiers there too.
  10. yea... trying on that.. people keep outbidding me on the good stuff or interesting stuff >.>
  11. yea, i keep looking for them as well.
  12. yes I did see all that, but the lower bar makes no sense as part of an R
  13. I have variates that are not listed anywhere i would say its a B due to the length of the line under the B itself.
  14. I have found my 1926 ME in a bucket of bargains as well.. same with one of the rarer 1860's. always looking for those open 3's 1897 dots..... they never turn up.
  15. the wear itself isn't that bad... its more the die.
  16. no, i was more interested in the grade, and how weak the design is compared to the letters, plus the N nearly touching the arm.
  17. that was you was it... i was after that, and btw... I think it is 1697. I pulled out way before, to me its just poor details with letters recut. I have stumbled across this site. http://www.farthingshalfpennyerrors.com/ I myself have stumbled across a halfpenny, 1696.... with farthing N's.. which isn't on there, but a 1695 is so I need access to this as well
  18. how have these recent poor examples of minting got past this trial?
  19. ebay is good, once bought a a good load of them... and found a Rhodesia key date sixpence. not bough a load for a long while, everyone catches onto them and pays a fair bit on bulk on ebay now.
  20. I got a few scarce ones..
  21. a 2,500 euro coin or book or stamp? erm... yea. of archaeological value? whats that even? does that mean anything dug up and worth 100 euros? that could fit in with coins, and the market for WW2 german items.
  22. yea, Russian one is strict https://russianreport.wordpress.com/culture-art/antiques/ Russian coin market is quite hot still.
