  3. the 1868 would be one i would buy if i had the money.
  4. stop outbidding me on the cheap stuff dangit have to bid 17 quid on the 1904 washer now
  5. yea but those are already up to a fiver. so much money
  6. yea but there are 2 types of 4 to tooth i think, i'm more interested in the 04 close part. cant find another example on ebay atm either.
  7. I will offer 99p for all unbought lots
  8. yea 34s are mint toned, it looks like it in the seller photo, just seems to be overly lit.
  9. another for the wides. turns out I had one all along lol
  10. a few highlights of the week in a recent bulk buy about £11.20 and found this in a load of pennies at the dealers I have been through and ignored many times, no idea how I missed it. 1890 narrow date, wasn't really looking for it, but it stands out.
  11. the ones I want cost a small fortune.
  12. I just got a Benjamin Britten for 75p.. the mintage on that and the prices asked... coin dealer has a bag of the commemorative 50ps, so usually have a look through there, hopfully one of those will turn up.
  13. I want that wide one I found another narrow one on ebay, just waiting for it to arrive. and incidentally found a narrow date 1890 today as well, which i'll compare, you will be surprised how noticeable they are for 1 or 1/2 tooth difference.
  14. heh snow one week... tropical the next then.
  15. and should we not be looking at every date using obverse 12? and speaking of which, you seen the R on the 1893/2 in the Copthorne Collection?
  16. I have found the 2 types of R in 1893, and thats out a few examples I sorted out for later examination, (7-8 examples) and only 1 had short R not found a rotated in any date at all yet.
  17. wider date 1889 rocked up today
  18. show the full sized ones of each type so we can get a feel maybe?
  19. gone through a load of mine, not picked up anything bar the heights of the 9s and we have date spreads all the way through to 1894, so if we are checking obverses then what we do with 1889 is the same for other dates and that 1889 narrow was something I spent ages searching for btw
  20. got it down as 1889 based on the last numbers loop being too big for an 8
  21. both those types can be found readily. if you look: top one top of 9 above 8 tail of 9 just below bottom of 8 second one top of 9 level with top of 8 tail below you can tell these widths by the general placement of the 9's compared to the 8 next to it. this is a rarer one better ones i own
  22. guys you know you can't afford anything, dont bother bidding so i can win everything for 99p each >.> there is actually a 1967
