  1. Genuine queries/questions are always welcome. However coin acquisition and ebay laughs generate the most posts. There are plenty of one to one messages. But as Rob said there maybe only one coin for sale.Rather than a ready source for a classic motor part.
  2. God, I never thought of the Scots, not sure what side they're on? ;-) We're on the right side of Hadrians wall Gave me a good belly laugh! So, what are the stats, just a single post/entry in 24hrs, I don't think that's happened in the 7 months I've been nosing around on here? I've been chasing the Easter Bunny around the garden and not to mention the big tin of quality street.
  3. God, I never thought of the Scots, not sure what side they're on? ;-) We're on the right side of Hadrians wall It is only pointed on the South side
  4. I've got a few examples.Apparently there were more evasions circulating in Scotland than currency. £1 coins were readily available at 30p each when I worked in London.
  5. 4 for me.But heck nothing on farthings
  6. Most of the world has a climate, we have weather There's no such thing as the wrong weather just the wrong cloths Unfortunately there's not many Tarzans in this jungle who wear cloths these days. A big wooly jumper is sufficient. I'll keep my leapord skin loin cloth for the bedroom Mine is a python skin one
  7. Circulation coins don't do it for me.i'm thinking back to pre 47 silver and those horrible copper coins
  8. 9. There was also a Theresa Green at my school, also a gentelman with the surname Hunt . I worked with a guy who I can't think of his first name with the surname Riddle, of course he was called Jimmy. I also worked with another guy who would wear the same shirt all week, he was christened Daz. I worked with a George Best who stank.Even my egg/tea stained tie was changed every day.
  10. The QPR footballer called Fitz Hall is nicknamed one size Also Justin Sidebottom
  11. Drove by a smoking stag on the way to a party in Hendon and my mate asked the owner for a light...Oh the pleasure of a 2.8 Capri
  12. A guy I worked with had the AA following him around in his MG. It will be a cayman for me when I upgrade.Although Mrs Peter has a Hyundai S111 coupe, when I swapped her Pug 307 diesel for this I had tears, and every bonus Just very little goes wrong,it clunks, gets serviced and thats it.
  13. I love a nice bit of liver or kidney (my nickname was Kidney wiper)but faggots no
  14. I wouldn't have the cheek to sell them...Bin time.
  15. I've got to a stage of VF+.Fillers have been upgraded.I've got a few low grade varieties. With hammered a full flan and ID is important.Grading them is a thankless task (as struck can mean crap)
  16. You are missing our lovely spring weather not to mention good old British pies
  17. Heralds had a fantastic turning circle....although my Morris Marina 1.8 super coupe delux was the dogs.I rebuilt the engine...you could always smell a knackered Leyland...and then I got my 1st company car a brown 1.1 escort which I nicknamed "the turd"this was replaced by a spanking new 1.3 escort.WOW
  18. Mushy peas yummie. My nans suet steak and kidney pud took some beating.I can remember linen and string being used. The suet soaked in gravey was served 1st. This was then flushed down with proper tea before the veg and meat was served. and grandad would give me pre 47 silver and let me roll him a smoke.(baccy only
  19. I'm showing my class here for confessing my love for Fray Bentos tinned pies.I'm allowed one occasionally.Simple food but I love some soggy pastry.
  20. If it was started at 99p it might make £2 for the silver
  21. Looks like the Midland fair will let me spend a few pounds then put on a couple

  23. I'd say that its metal content is now worth more than 5p! Yeah, but then you need a couple of kg of them to make it worth while! Peck I was stashing pre 92 copper away.I got to £20 and realised I could make a tenner...sorry it aint going to be my forte.
