  1. Bury St Eds mint....I have a blind cobblers thumb although it fits handsomely around my pummeled penis....sorry the red is flowing.
  2. Tell the terwat that 99.99999% of the world CGAF.
  3. Not an expert in this field Pete ,neither do I profess to be.If I was it wouldn't get sent to tell me what I knew......Jeeeeze.
  4. Spill the beans Pete.I think we all deserve this info (or pm me) Over the years I've sent books/coins FOC and the forum members have disappeared....I didn't think I was that scary although I have a tendency to throw crap coins.
  5. This is every reason why TPG's are a farce.Jacks of all trades but masters........diddly.
  6. .Look at ebay completed listings. A couple of observations. It is very worn. You need to show the reverse. I suspect under £10/15..... but it is just a filler. Not for me (sorry)
  7. Ouch !!!!
  8. Irish 1/2d

  10. I would prefer to saw a bollock with a rusty saw. Each to their own though.
  11. That is a problem with a world wide auction audience.Tom,Dick,Harry and Harry's mate are after it.This is where a coin fair appeals when you can delve into trays. Hold the tray otherwise some b**tard dealer will take a dip.Happened to me at the Midland as I was stooping over a tray of new pieces.
  12. With £200 you should be able to buy a quality Vic half Sov and an nice piece of early 20C silver. You will have not only have bullion but numismatic coins. If you see a coin which could be upgraded from your wish list.....don't buy it.
  13. Unfortunately no great value.Over 95m 1966 1/2d's were minted. You will have great difficulty in finding a buyer.
  14. Stu I've got a Garrett 250 and can vouch for it.The Garrett probe is also the best on the market.
  15. Tin of salmon in the tower!!!!
  16. Wybritt's post is 12 years old.!!!
  17. The 1820 crown is a well known Chinese takeaway.

    Peppercorn money then?
  19. I have been collecting for many, many years and never had a coin graded. The value of your sovereign is £260 in VF and £300 in EF so grading seems a waste. You won't recover the cost of grading.Post a couple of decent pictures and the forum can grade it for you. Less than VF it will be BV.
  20. You can return it for a refund surely....The latest arrival is covered in hairlines. Was it an EBAY purchase?
  21. Gents I've been on this forum for over 13 years.I think Chris was still in short trousers.i don't appreciate confrontation....I can have lapses but mainly stay reasoned and don't try to upset members.I go on Ipswich Towns site TWTD and they operate a ban hammer.Warned once and then a ban.Seems to work....after conceding 4 goals in 7 minutes I was close yesterday but resisted.(TWTD stands for those were the days)....I think I shall support Man City next year.
  22. LCGS grading is hit and miss
  23. Silver dip? Harsh cleaning and not near EF.Sorry to disagree Peck but this is what a good forum debate is about. I personally couldn't give it a place in my collection. Maybe 2/8d and flip asap. Maybe the boiled egg treatment could calm it down.

    1806 halfpenny

Probably a tight squeeze in the bike shed.
