    As I said, someone is going to get badly burnt. On the plus side, if he actually had a Richard III you could get a bargain as it wouldn't correspond to any of his 'Richard IIIs' which everyone knows read Edward or Henric etc. Tempted to buy all of the misidentified coins and then request a refund through the moneyback guarantee through eBay/PayPal.

    Now over £100 for the Edward/Richard III.

    Probably more so at the moment due to the discovery of his body and the media furore over his new burial place. But some of his issues are much more common than others, namely some of the Durham and York pennies compared to, say, London pennies.

    I guessed as much regarding its age, I emailed the seller but no response. As for the fake counterfeit, most people would be happy! Well done on the Mary, though, I look forward to seeing some of your own pictures if you get the chance. As Rob says, it's Richard II. Very noticeable difference, especially with the portrait.

    eBay do occasionally do something about misdescribed items when, in this case,it appears to be blatant fraud/deception. As for your quote, my money's on the latter.

    Well, Saxby's have a whole selection of Richard III pennies on eBay that are all Edward III, Henry VI and Edward IV... e.g. This Edward III. Otherwise, a Lizzie fake for Stuart.
