  1. Whilst also announcing increased seller protection: "Now even more of your sales can be protected against claims, unauthorised payments and chargebacks. Protection applies whether your market is at home or abroad, giving you more confidence to expand your export business and start selling to overseas markets. There’s no limit to the value of each transaction we’ll protect, and we’re currently the only major payments provider in the UK to offer this kind of seller protection at no additional charge."
  2. Might it be a previous sale? http://www.laidlawauctioneers.co.uk/about_us.html
  3. I've emailed the seller, I wonder if he'll do anything.
  4. It's hard to tell from the images! The one in the CGS capsule appears more authentic from the other one, but that might just be the artificial lighting.
  5. Yet Forgery Network say it's from Museum Reproductions. The one on MR is completely different, so if it is then it must have been old stock.

  7. Very likely. Looks to be a 9b of Edward I.
  8. Precisely -- although Aethelred II rather than Edward. Looks more like a base styca from the thumbnail.
  9. I presume he means unresearched in terms of king or class. But yes, I agree, there's clearly been some research done!
  10. Sorry, Rob. I'm sure Mr Stocks will gladly provide full details of the coin if requested, he's probably found a die match in the Copenhagen collection!
  11. "A finest collectors specimen" Words fail me.
  12. That appears genuine from the photographs.
  13. Hopefully those that realise he's a shiller and sells fake coins.
  14. They key to this shiller's success is that they don't seem to win the item - and so they're at risk of a negative as much as a normal seller.
  15. Starting to wish this was a Members Only section...
  16. Here's it on ForgeryNetwork: http://www.forgerynetwork.com/asset.aspx?id=ouiJWLQnL94=
  17. Shill bidders, don't you hate them? Spot any trends in these bidding histories? 44 bids across all sorts of categories, 97% with one seller... 1 - http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=301183045931&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565 2- http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=301185231057&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565 3 - http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=301196172245&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565 4 - http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=301196180013&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2565 The list goes on... This is the bidder in question.
  18. Right click and save if you want to download the .pdf.
  19. There was the big Lleyn 1984 earthquake, although it's a few more years than 25 but it was apparently the biggest onshore one recorded in Britain,
  20. It's been a quick reference for many years for countless people. Definitely worth bookmarking.
  21. Sounds more like the chap here in Cambridge who was asked to leave a supermarket 'Some people turn to God, I turned to Adolf Hitler' says Paul Dutton, the Cambridge man who wore Nazi SS uniform to go shopping at Asda "He said he uses the outfit to try to distance himself as he does not like having people around him" but yet will happily let journalists in his house so the public can view him and walks around in dress that will attract everyone's attention. It's a shame more hasn't been done to help this chap with his issues.
  22. Canterbury mint. Moneyer is likely to be Aelfred. EFRED ON CENTCE. I think...
  23. Use a site such as photobucket.com or tinypic.com and then post the image URL using the image tab. Here's a small tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zk7f3fep2ds
  24. This one is fairly self-explanatory. It is a 1955 10 dinars of Former Yugoslavia as seen here. They appear to sell for about 60 pence.
