  1. It wasn't me, but I'd have also believed it to be 1853.
  2. Surely not true? You get your cash via either an ATM or via cashback - neither of which are anonymous.
  3. Contactless is a private transaction between you and your bank (and the retailer, but their receipt and the record of purchase is not affected by the method of payment). Banks are increasingly paranoid about ensuring it's really you who is logging in, so HMRC cannot track your money or 'oversee' it.
  4. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for an open 3 in that condition
  5. I'd take issue with him having Jagger and not Richards in his "Big 3" !!
  6. That whole album is one of the classic rock albums.
  7. He was a Jamaican producer (Bob Marley and The Upsetters among many others) but also did his own stuff. Undoubtedly one of music's greatest eccentrics! https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/aug/30/lee-scratch-perry-10-of-his-greatest-recordings
  8. Don Everley is before my time, but the Maestro of Reggae Lee Perry was today reported to have died. Sad news.
  9. "choose files" now works for me, but I don't see any picture previews on the dialogue - however clicking the Open button does result in the picture getting uploaded.
  10. Trying again... Interesting. The dialogue still doesn't show any picture previews (just the revolving "I'm doing something you fool!" gear wheel) - but I clicked the Open button and it uploaded the picture here. Guess I'll have to get used to this quirky behaviour...
  11. Could well be. I just clicked "choose files" and can browse through folders, but when I get to an individual picture for upload, I just get the revolving gearwheel. Has anyone uploaded a picture today?
  12. I remember that us kids used to generally prefer one over the other, but there was no hard and fast rule - it was perfectly acceptable to like both!
  13. I don't know if Legacy Chromium is available for Windows? If so, that might work.
  14. He has changed his mind about Brown Sugar - he has said for quite a number of years that he'd never write a song with those lyrics again. Still a great track though! And this year is the 50th anniv of Sticky Fingers (my favourite Stones album).
  15. Very sad. My era. I knew a Stone would have to die sometime, but I didn't think we would wait until 2021 for it to happen.
  16. Bit before my time. The Beatles awoke my own interest in pop music.
  17. It has arrived and is even better than it looks in the picture! A good deal all round. Thanks Paddy.
  18. Some years ago there was a similar hoard of UNC 1912H pennies - I can't remember how much mine cost but probably less than £100? (Just looked it up - £37!!)
  19. I think Eddie Grundy got the message...
  20. Sent you a PM @Paddy
  21. On the right you can clearly see the top edge of the slanted 5, but as you work from right to left it gradually either fades or is filled. In all other respects the two 5s are identical. My votes goes to it being the same die.
  22. The right hand end looks like a recut die, while the left hand end looks like the same die but more worn or with fill, along the 'slanted' top bar.
  23. It's a PITA having to do it, but uploading the rejected post as an image in the form of a screenshot will always work.
