  1. The Roland Harris collection was amazing to see. So many top notch rare pennies and lots more.
  2. I wish that i had spotted all these pennies for sale. You guys are really alert to all coins for sale it seems. Well done anyway. Regards, Ian
  3. I won nothing, but none of my bids were top end of the estimates. My biggest bid was for the F7, which was a nice coin.
  4. I must have seen it on their website too, but like you said, not good pictures. Nice find.
  5. That is a decent coin. I wish that i had found it first though.
  6. Looks very nice to me. Much better than my ef for that year.
  7. I mean on finding a nice one.
  8. Oh darn it, i only just found this section. I was looking for one the other week, but no success.
  9. I won't be bidding on that 1919KN either. It is not quite nice enough on the reverse, like has been said. But i do have a list of four Vicky pennies and a shilling that i will bid on.
  10. Mine is not well struck, probably below average tbh.
  11. Mine is not well struck, probably below average tbh.
  12. I got a very nice 1918 KN last year a 1919H before that, but not as nice. So still gaps to fill with 1918H and 1919KN. If only i could fill them with coins this nice.
  13. Thank you for that indicator PWA, i will make a note of that and try not to make that mistake again.
  14. Ok cheers, i could see that the colons after IMP did not line up quite right, but the colon after BRITT seemed like obverse A. Oh well, i will keep looking. The reverse is B, i have no doubt.
  15. Hi guys, i think that i have just purchased an f175. The reverse is definitely B, but i cannot upload the picture. So hopefully, this is an obverse A. It was cheap anyway. And it is 1913. Probably an f176. Regards, Ian
  16. Hi guys, i do buy coins from R Ingram occasionally, and have never had a problem. If the photo is not clear, then i just do not buy the item. Perhaps i have just been lucky. As for overgrading, well i just make my mind up with the picture.
  17. Unfortunately, my pictures are taking up too much storage to show you on here. Anyway, the 1854 and 1863 florins are both shown in Colin Cookes March catalogue. (Thank you Lee)
  18. I will try and get some decent pictures on here Vicky. The 1863 was almost very fine.
  19. Well, i just had a bit of a result. I just received a March catalogue from a very good coin shop. It showed very decent examples of 1863 and 1854 florins. Unfortunately, the 1863 is already sold, but i managed to order the 1854. It is better than the LCA one that i was outbid on, but hardly any more money, so every cloud has a silver lining.
  20. Thanks Vicky, i would not buy one that is any worse than near fine. As for the 1863 florin, i could have bought a near fine last year for £1450, but i thought about it for too long. So when i decided to buy it, it had just been sold.
  21. I left a £1000 bid on the book for it, but you never know how much higher the winner might have gone.
  22. I won two of my four bids. Underbidder on the 1854 florin. Note to myself, should have gone higher.
  23. I hope that nobody minds if i mention that the 1845 half crown looks like an overdate. Any thoughts please? Thanks, Ian
  24. Oh yes, i have two bids in at DNW too.
