It does look as if maybe I see wiping over Britannia's arm, but not totally certain. And Jerry's 100% correct. Even making a video and still shots for yourself at various angles and angles of flashlight can help.

I don't think the 1882 no H is the finest, and giving it a teaser estimate of 2-3K means SR don't either. I'm sure Gerald Jackson had a lustrous one back in Spink USA  2014 which went for $18K from memory, perhaps Noble's mint state specimen as mentioned by Peck in his 1967 BNS Addendum.

Uggh, I bid on that one and don 't know where it ended up but figured out the opposition was willing to go much higher and so dropped out at the end. I did end up with Gerald's 1869 that was a beauty....

Martin, if you click on the link and bring up the PDF, there should be an icon somewhere on the top right like a downward arrow above above a "tray" - if you click on this it will download the PDF to a folder that you nominate.

I don't see why you would bury such a collection inside a General Sale!

Lot 207, the last on the page, makes no sense as regards description and the two ( different) coins pictured.

The F69 estimate seems very low too!

Will anyone be recording hammer prices, or final prices, including bp?

I'm unexpectedly having to go in to work today, so won't be able to keep an eye on this. I'd appreciate a copy of prices, if anyone is already going to the trouble.

Just finished watching it. Fabulous prices but some real bargains on some rarities, e.g. F112, F90, 1863 slender 3, F27 and F76.

Patterns and proofs through the roof.

There was persistent brinkmanship on the bidding and the auctioneer missed bids on 3 lots when she took her eye off the screen and brought the hammer down microseconds after a new bid had flashed up.

Bernie may well be in for a huge CGT bill !!!

The majority of lots went to a single bidder - I'd love to know who that was.
