Can also clearly see the 'WRL' on the reverse. Westair Reproductions Ltd, I think. They make replicas for museum gift shops etc and they always have WRL stamped on them.

I messaged the seller to tell them exactly that. No response, and the listing stands.

Yup. Saw a seller the other day with a Rare! Silver! 1953 coronation crown for £669.66/$895. I told him in case it was innocent but it's still there.

Having said that, they, themselves, appear to have little or no idea about whether it’s a novelty replica of a crown OR a shilling? 🤷‍♂️

You've better eyesight than me then! I was looking hard for just that but couldn't see it...

🤣🤣🤣 I love the date range spanning over 20 years, on account it has no mintmark!
They could’ve at least narrowed it down to Third Coinage by the bust, that would’ve reduced the number count a bit…and maybe excluded Castle because of the reverse Lis?

And PS I did get your email (thank you), will come back at ya tomorrow :)

The name Ilya might be a known person on the other side of the pond, whose moniker was highqualitylowprice or something like that. That was an eastern European showman (Romanian?) who was a world renowned expert in numismatics apparently. Numismatic bullshittery maybe, but nowt else. The sort of guy who would offer a 1967 penny for a thousand dollars, but agree to sell it to you for a 99% discount - FYI, still a rip off. Someone from that side will know who I mean and perhaps post a link to a sale of his?

His last name wasn't Kuryakin by any chance?
