FFS, there's loads of people trying to offload these washers for a fortune. Has one of the Red Tops been spreading numismatic porkies again?

I thought I might dip in to see if Buckscoins gradings had improved during the past week or two.

I didn't yet get past the first listing.

aEF? Dear me.

Sorry to be a bother people, but I really felt I needed to come back in with this one.

With the obverse damage that’s really a net fair to me...

I think she should look at the 'Similar sponsored items' below her listing, then she would see what true EF looks like! :D

Or maybe this is groundbreaking, wonderful discovery on a par with the pre-Neolithic cave paintings taking us back to our ancient past.

Guaranteed genuine mate. Santa Claus it is. :D

Apparently a grade of Poor-1 is sought after, as a two kills the novelty value. However, in this instance I suspect it might be body-bagged and given a details grade for graffiti - this having more relief than the remaining original detail whilst at the same time highlighting the only attractive design feature. ;)

Technically, by ebay policy, this listing should not be allowed, inasmuch as it is being listed with a numeric grade not assigned by an officially recognized  grading service.

Number two, without having the references handy, I believe a Poor-1 needs to be identifiable to some minimal degree. This coin does not fit that description ....

That being said, I can appreciate the humor of the listing, as I have similarly had "world's worst coins" listed in the distant past....

Your taps must be made of pretty hard metal!

This might make a nice substrate for a fantasy countermark, or a Georgian style love token. Good fun until someone tries to pass it off as original.
