  2. definitely non an ME .

  4. A touch better than mine lol
  5. What does it weigh ?It looks very iffy .
  6. For 1964 . Groom has 2 reverses , a reverse F with a calm sea , similar to the 1963 , and a rev G which has a choppy sea .Also noted are 2 parralel lines in the exergue to the left of the date , short helmet plumes and missing waves .
  7. I knew they weren't Roman , the lot also had an old farthing token and some sort of small advertising medal amongst them.
  8. Got these in a job lot of Roman detector finds . Can't seem to find any info on them .Uniface and 12mm across . any help is much appreciated .
  9. The stolen coins (apart from ones sold at the fair )are on the BNTA stolen coins page . http://www.bnta.net/index.cfm?do=ShowStolen&id=255&title=Robbery at Midland Coin Fair, 9th January 2022 | BNTA
  10. It is probably cheaper to buy an old Mahogany sideboard (and scrap it for timber) , than buy new seasoned Mahogany .Which is ok if you are making your own , but probably a hassle if you are producing commercially . I ended up using Meranti , while not a true Mahogany , has similar properties (nowhere near as attractive though) .
  11. Just finished on Ebay . Another 1843 DFF . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1843-Penny-Rare-Key-Date-Victoria-Copper-1d-/384429259396?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=QHhtngcS8aTFaFPmnC4cbL47a7U%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc
  12. I had a quick look at the obvious ones in Krause .Canadian 1 cent is a flat topped 3, Jamaica is different and Guernseys 1903 was done by Heatons .If it is a punch for a foreign one , it will take a bit of work or good luck to find it.
  13. I had the Pfizer one (1st dose) about 6 weeks ago .Felt fine the next day , apart from a bit of a sore arm .The following couple of days , I felt like I was coming down with the flu .Was even laid up in bed for most of the 2nd day .Hopefully the next one isn't as bad .
  14. Couple of newbies .Been after a decent 1904 for a while (at a fair price ). And picked up a low grade 1909 ON'E Penny .I saw it when I bought my better one , and it was still unsold 2 weeks later (so I decided to add it to the pile) .
  15. Top four are boxed . 2 green , 2 burgundy .Last one is from a proof set .I had a couple of dozen , but kept 4 because of the different box types .Matchbox type and lift off lid ,in each colour .Looks like verd on the proof set one , but it must be my photographic skills as it isn't visible on the coin itself .
  16. I have dug my four boxed ones out .Looking at the dragons wing webbing alone .One has all the webbing .one is missing a part of a section , one is missing a full section and the other is missing 2 sections .I will stick pics up when I get a chance .
  17. £440 .Decent example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COIN-UNITED-KINGDOM-ONE-PENNY-BRITANNIA-EDWARD-Vll-BRONZE-1909-/154328988309?hash=item23eeb97a95%3Ag%3ARxkAAOSwagJgJqJA&nma=true&si=zGNhOPeEfsB5VMffTHlQjngAylU%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  18. Having a look on Richards site . The hand on rev D has more pronounced knuckles on the front , rev E it seems to be more of a straight line . Also the r/h/s trident prong on D points to a gap , but on E it points to a tooth .The hand difference would probably be noticeable on coins with more wear ,but if you can't tell whether the 1 points to a tooth , it is doubtful you could work out where the trident is pointing .
  19. It wasn't a type I had , so had a quick look on ebay for newly listed buy it nows . There was 2 within the first dozen . One quite worn , but the other was better , but not as nice as yours .Less than a fiver ,so not a hard decision .
  20. A cheap ebay purchase to fill a gap (didn't actually have an F10) .T over T in Victoria .Michael Gouby mentions it in his book , but on a different Obverse (F15, obv 4 ).After reading this, I am confused about whether it is an F10 or 15 . LC WYON on Truncation seems to rule out F15 though .
  21. Didn't know it was a member . I like to keep a watch on these sort of things .Even if it is just to find out how much they end up going for .(usually well outwith my budget lol )
  22. Missed that , but I was keeping an eye on an 1860 missing colons which vanished as well .
  23. I have seen that the packaging error on the sets is a spelling mistake .Televison instead of television for the Logie Baird coin .
