  1. Sorry Rob, yes I knew that. Just didn't understand Pete's reply - 'twas a bit cryptic. The question I was asking was have LCA got the ID wrong on lot 3132? Looking at the ribbon I'd have said it was a 10 leaf, but they've got it listed as an 11.
  2. Pete, she's lovely. When you've had your failing eyesight checked, can you tell me is lot 3132 not actually a 10 leaf?
  3. Pete, you need to look at the REVERSE!
  4. I couldn't say I dislike that. Still not something I'd be likely to buy though.
  5. Cheer Rob, that's much more helpful than Nordle. To me then, a curiosity, but not something I'd consider spending lots of cash on. As usual though, one question begets another (and I realise I'm taking the thread off-topic somewhat, sorry) - I didn't know about early and late Soho issues. How would one know which was which please? Cheers, Jon
  6. Lot 2242: "Halfpenny 1797 Pattern Bronzed Copper Restrike Peck 1173 R61 nFDC attractively toned, probably rarer than Peck states, indeed we have only offered one previous example, this in June 2006 and realised £220 in UNC, this easily the superior piece (£500 - £600)" Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, but what does it mean by restrike please?
  7. Look at the sold listings copper, it's far from a freak result. If it's a cartwheel, it will sell.
  8. I think you'd be surprised Peter. I see even worn, beat-to-hell examples selling so wouldn't be surprised to see that go for more than scrap. Look at this for example.
  9. I like that. 7 with KEW on, some pictured, but strangely unable to recognise a 50p.
  10. Good spot.
  11. Sounds like he knows you'd take one look and tell him you're not interested?
  12. I wish I knew how you were so sure. I'm not disputing it, but the numeral seems quite cleanly removed. Notwithstanding the damage, which to me doesn't seem to be entirely in the right place for a missing 7. What can you two see that I can't?
  13. Well, that's a start Paul. I didn't realise that all the other years had Arabic 1s. There is a bit of damage close to where the 7 should be: do you think this is post mint?
  14. So at what point does the auction stop?
  15. Any thoughts on this double florin?
  16. Leave a few common ones too eh? I've been told I'm allowed to have the 1967.
  17. I still think it would meet the definition of a "decent" collection.
  18. It's all right for you to smile Pete, you've got 'em all already.
  19. I've always thought CCGB to be pretty much in the right area Rob, but I'm struggling to find quarter-farthings on the same page.
  20. Thanks Paul. That's what I was looking for - it just occurred to me that they might not update. Cheers, Jon
  21. Very. I have no patience and want it now.
