  1. Well hold me down and call me matilda The debate that rages on and on about 1826/5 1825/6 is there one and which is it. Well hopefully I can shed some light to this argument. Seems it's my week for finding something I will post a better pic once it lands on blighty shores. It is enroute as we speak. Clearly and unmistakably 1825 struck over 6
  2. I'll post this here seeing as my original thread got ganked by a business tout I only know of 1 other that is because I owned it. But sold it on a few years back. Been actively searching for another in a really nice grade but alas so far have not found any and this one is the only one I have found in the few years gap. Unlisted variety and should really be confirmed as I owned this and 1 other. Obviously quite rare 1826 Half Penny with Roman I for 1
  3. I click anything. Got more protection than MI5 lol. I guess it would depend on the link title. Obv if onedrive is in the make up I would think it's safe but from a poster with no previous posts I would air on the side of caution and let some dumb sod like me click it
  4. Although I cannot see any sig on bust I am sure it must be there pretty sure you have 2+D F10 Penny
  5. I have actively searched for these coins seeing as the farthings had the Roman I for 1 and a few of our silver denoms had them. Well about 3 years ago I found 1 wasn't in too bad condition VF . Sold it and have looked for another since then. At last I have located a 2nd 1826 halfpenny with roman I for 1 . Fom memory it looks the same as in the style and boldness as the one I sold on. This one not in as good a condition but nevertheless it's a rare coin be interested to know if any of you guys hold one in your collections
  6. <<<<<<< missed the boat as usual
  7. I am thinking they meant to put NO W W. probably were gassing about what they were up to the weekend and buggered it up lol
  8. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1878-GOTHIC-FLORIN-VICTORIA-MS61-765/253468651604 According to the label NO DIE NUMBER. I guess they missed that great big 54 or did they think it was on the reverse? and a rotated axis . hmmm
  9. I was going to post that yesterday I thought it was suss. Got sidetracked but good spot . there are a few of those knocking around the sales
  10. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1922-Silver-Rupee-King-George-V-British-Raj-Indian-Coin-NGC-MS63-RARE/292454417712 Do you think NGC might of wrongly attributed this? Looks more like the PL restrike?
  11. defo struck on a foreign coin I just cant see it in my minds eye where to line anything up lol
  12. Well I think its been struck on a straits settlement 5 cent FWIW that is part of the gothic crown and resembles nothing on our threepence

  18. 15956* 99% rating. Are we not safe anywhere now or is this a case of seller ignorance?
  19. 1870 Penny according to Mr Gouby date sub type D 12.5 teeth center of 1 to center of 0 (probably not seen) well now you have seen
  20. That is so funny he doesn't even know what his label stands for. PCCB professional coin supplies and professional coin display None really convincing wonder if the B stands for BS
  21. Damn did I miss Amanda . Oh well onwards and err onwards
  22. good idea but they we get the grey area of "oh i selected the wrong box" . Hard to prove but very easy to exploit to a certain degree . Habitual misuse would raise red flags but damage is done by then but I guess we need to start somewhere
  23. yes he is totally flouting with ebay's explicit description criteria. If it is a replica/fake it must be in the description. Putting a lowball price whilst yes should raise a red flag it does not cover the seller for his ambiguity and really at the end of the day does nothing to enhance his reputation.
  24. The Sun online blog nothing to do with the sun newsgroup always peddling false statements and half truths. Also I received an email from London coins touting the 2018 Issac newton 50 pence being the rarest 50 pence ever obviously sentence ended with the obligatory ? . These online bandit blogs and even to a certain degree the check your change website is so full of misleading information all the newbie collectors just try to climb over each other grabbing anything just in case it turns out to be rare. They are so dim witted they will even bid £50 for a copy kew knowing it is a copy.
