  10. Well i was sure it would of been proof from the picture but atleast you got your answer Are they plated or silver ?.
  11. Another small group UNC/BU 1927,30,36,39,45,46,49,53 &1970 FDC plus a low grade 1946 DOT £80 including Special delivery
  12. You can only keep looking Kev cgs have graded four in there opinion satin finish so maybe one day you will get lucky
  13. In answer to your question i dont have one or heard of one. I have just checked a coin news article on Bronze penny flaws and its not mentioned in that either.
  14. Before you start looking for any the 1874 i think was a typo for 1875 of which there are a couple of types. Happy hunting
  15. But again Frank there are quite a few of those all in the same place and again documented in the updated Freeman and David Groom book.
  16. Yes thanks Mike the sea line sometimes i cant tell especially if the coin is worn and even then sometimes i am unsure. The 1874 can be tricky to tell the differences between them all atleast i struggle ,i need to try and spend some more time trying to get my head round them. Talking of daft dots the ebay coin also had one at the side of the ship
  17. Just shows how much i know about them as didnt think it was one
  18. If its raised and wont come off its a bit of grit or similar on the die so Ideally you would need to find another one to make it of any interest IMO. As far as sending it to someone they are just going to tell you what you already know and some of the people on here will no doubt give there opinion Another option is something that has been mentioned on here a rust spot on the die that starts off minute and can become bigger. Whatever it is you really need to find another one atleast so maybe just keep hold of it and keep looking. The other thing is the 1870 & 1875 the dot is a lot bigger and cant be mistaken for anything else.
  19. Thanks for the above comments ,i am suprised more people havent given an opinion .As i have mentioned before i can learn more from a coin that i dont think is right rather than one that is.
  20. These have gone thanks Steve (Partridge )
  21. I think Jerry has got them spot on
  22. The above comment has made me start to think If your reading this thread PLEASE post if you think the coin has been cleaned or not. There is no right or wrong answer just interested in everyones opinion. Pete.
  23. Sorry i cant see it at all on the picture and the tiny white mark (if thats it) is in the wrong place. My opinion is the coin has been cleaned. Pete.
  24. The cleaning may have just caused damage as the marks are that small and i am not convinced as a couple of dots close together is a bit random. The Flaw between the O & N is documented in Freeman and therefore collectable and quite a few of them rather than just one known that would be considered more an error.. You mention the coin being a high grade and the one flaw is scarce above VF maybe put up a picture of the full coin. Well spotted though regardless of what it is Pete.
  25. Now your being the tricky one amending all your previous post
