  1. Out of order, although would of thought he would of done them all on the same day.
  2. hi mark. The mistake (if it is one) has been made by three different graders . I was led to believe they are looked at by a grader and the details put on a system. This is then repeated twice by two other graders and if one grader rejects a coin that the coin is given a yellow ticket. If they are slightly different the lowest grade is attributed. This means all three graders put the coin at 80. Makes me have doubts in this instance. Pete.
  3. Yes i agree ,seems way off the mark.
  4. Having read your later post the ear does look flat and overall not really an attractive coin.Is this a particular year for a weak strike ?
  5. In my opinion the obverse 78/80 and the reverse 60. overall does not make any better than 65 e/f. Not knowing anything about half crowns i may be way off.
  6. Hi coppers tried the link but just says error. Is it me doing something wrong ? pete.

    Wanted Pennies

Good luck prax but think you have more chance of being struck by lightning. Regards. Pete.
  8. Nice touch fishsticks and hat off. Pete.
  9. No i bought that from a dealer and had it slabbed
  10. Everyone to there own c.g.s prices are not the price that people tend to pay anyway, the price for good EF is £160. and just EF £100. Be Lucky Pete.
  11. The price of choice unc graded 80 is £400
  12. The 1841 has now had the c.g.s price increased to £750
  13. That seems ok with regards the price.Maybe i was being a bit low although having just looked at some auction results £40 + seems about right and suppose collectors of good numbers will always pay more regardless of condition. Pete.
  14. Looks to be only fine + and the unusual number i would estimate about £35. Good luck should you sell it and hope you get considerably more. Pete.
  15. A £1 note c--c must be beale
  16. Think the other thing to note. Its not the best picture and cgs to grade a copper penny at 85 the price goes as to what someone will pay. They are scarce in this grade as your aware. Pete.
  17. Thank paulus. Not the best picture but looking at the coin spot on. Pete
  18. Sorry to go off track but i have another penny and the c.g.s picture is not the best. That also has a fingerprint on but doubt you will ever see a better one. Its not scarce but really nice coin. c.g.s.31744 Pete
  19. Hi yes on the photos appears to be a fingerprint but wont lose any sleep .The photograph i feel does not do justice as looks spot on.
  20. i have a nice one although its graded c.g.s. 18036 penny
  21. goomlique . Personally i would only buy from reputable dealers or alternative coins you can see in hand, such as coin fairs etc. Lots of coins on Ebay and in my opinion lots of garbage. Make your bid and win some and lose some. Pete
  22. Just tell him your not happy and send it back.Tell him to come on the forum ,if he is honest will accept the return
  23. Most honest sellers will allow for returns in my opinion .
  24. Hi justin and good luck.
  25. Just to note in the future that the seller says no returns accepted and allowed you to make your own decision on grade.Good luck
