  1. Hope you enjoyed the party . I had one with my grandma last week who i see most days. She lives with my mum and was 102
  2. Good will and health for everyone all year round for me Bob. Hope you had a really good birthday . Take care and have a fantastic christmas and as i always say and mean keep smiling. Only my opinion on the above post and would never share the seller on an open forum. Pete.
  3. Thinking again some people with considerable knowledge are not honest ,infact more than some. So i am know looking the other way and I think thats worse as they are just trying to deceive Some blatant miss descriptions and hyped up crap over the last week or so. Rant over. Pete.
  4. Thanks just.me Thought i remembered something .
  5. Probably wrong again However i was pretty sure Gary had posted pictures of different ones he had. Maybe he can let us provide the answer ...............
  6. Whenever these 1882 no H's come up, there always seems to be some tell tale mark under the date. Thats why i prefer to leave them alone.
  7. No Matt ...........Gary has numerous different pictures that were shown ages ago on another post 1897 penny. Unless i am wrong as i normally am
  8. Think Bronze collector has numerous examples that were posted on another thread. Gary may have the answers ?.
  9. That one was posted on another thread . The close up pictures though if i remember at the time were not convincing.
  10. All the best Bob and have a great day.
  11. Think i have looked before for him peter. Has he not got a website as just had a quick look ?.
  12. Sorry reading again Michael said might be worth and not pay.
  13. Interested in this penny know and want to know opinions. Can anyone tell us some facts i.e. teeth numbers or anything that determins its a specimen ?. Sure Terry is more interested than me. Must be something in his coin if Michael Gouby offered £200. Pete.
  14. That gives more confidence as you will know Bernie . Thanks.
  15. Sounds like you both had a good day. I need to make a trip myself soon
  16. I think its pay your money on a couple i have seen and take your chance. I am happy to have a gap and would sooner have something else i am sure about for that money.
  17. I hope yours is right Terry
  18. Think you will find not many gaps. That is just a few of the scarcer ones i think will be sold. The 1882 no H has been discussed numerous times and not one i look for anymore as always have doubts. Pete.
  19. Yes have to agree but gets peoples interest, another reason why i have to go
  20. I have seen similar Terry . Although was told they had been laquered / varnished and hard to tell from a photo.
  21. Sounds like a good day . Jelida goes but wears a disguise ,long coat , glasses , hat and sometimes a beard Doubt you would of seen him as he will of already bought the bargain pennies and gone
  22. Not sure Vicky and i know we are going off the subject. Provenance on PENNIES i dont think adds much premium if any at all. If a penny is £2k + as an example its because its nice and possibly scarce obviously there are exceptions. I would not be bothered if its Ms Norwebs or Ali Bongos. Nice coin and a good price i would be happy. Dont think its secrecy more to do with privacy. Some of the best collections currently of pennies the owner wants to stay private and doesnt want bells ,drums and bands playing. Pete.
  23. Well I've no idea who he is, but will certainly look forward to seeing what he is selling come the March 16 LCA. Any outstanding examples you can quote would be welcome. Some nice pennies on the LCA site.
  24. Sorry if i was a bit sharp. Yes i know whos collection it is but if he wants to keep it private, would not like anyone to say please
  25. Think if he wants to be known as elstree collection thats his buisness and not for a forum.
